    Chevy AWD

I've had to turn off my traction control in some rough situations to get moving. I think the system is trying to allocate power to all wheels when I need it at the back wheels. What do you think?

GM fullsize AWD Van Info thread

Post #589 for the GM fullsize AWD Van Info thread I don't know about you, but I think we need our own sub forum. These are great vans, hard to figure parts for sometimes but great vans. I did a 250 mile ghost town run in Nevada about a month ago with 10 other rigs. At the start they were...

Chevrolet Express Van - AWD to 4x4 conversion

I am running 32" with the torsion keys, they have very little flex. I might do the transfer case swap in the future. We live in Nevada, the van is capable of most of what we do. We see rough spots we could get past with better suspension and a little more lift. People we offroad with are...

Chevrolet Express Van - AWD to 4x4 conversion

This may be a bit off topic. I am looking at the Boulder Off Road Chevy AWD 6" Suspension System. I have a 2014 Express AWD 1500. I currently have a 3" key lift in the front and a 1" block on the rear. Does anyone have experience with this lift kit, or would you recommend something else...

I have the torsion key lift in front and a 1" block in back. If I got the 3/4 ton suburban spring pack am I right in thinking the back end would be 2" higher than the front? Also would the Bilstein #24-185615 still work?

My keys were frozen so I bit the bullet and took it to the alignment shop. They charged me $100 additional, changed the keys leveled her up and all is fine.

2014 AWD Chevy Express LT Build

Slowly but Shirley I am making progress on this build. Here is the first picture. It is of the roof basket I just put on. A local guy here built it for his van. I adapted it by bolting it to a ladder rack. It no longer looks like an airport van.

STORM POOPER; 2007 AWD chevy express

I had the same problem, I ended up taking it to an alignment shop they used an air hammer and had it out in no time. They have seen and done a lot of leveling.

Thanks for this write up. I had an idea for your selector. How about an emergency brake lever? You could grind off the teeth you don't need and lock in on the teeth you need.

Good recovery points for now. I don't plan on getting too wild with this rig.

Starting from scratch on a new build

I just bought a 2014 AWD Chevy Express 8 Passenger Van. I am hoping to upgrade it to a camping van, so some things are going to change. I would appreciate any help anyone could give for what worked for you and source of parts. Here are some of the things I plan to do to start: 3 inch lift kit...
