    Discovery 2 Vs GX470

This is an excellent observation. It’s one of those things that’s hard for me to put into words, but that sums it up well. In the end there needs to be respect and that’s what I have found lacking from the Toyota owners I’ve been referring to.

    Discovery 2 Vs GX470

Rover guys are probably THE most self deprecating group you’ll run into. We know they’ve had flaws over the years, yet we choose to drive them despite these flaws. Did you ever think they might be reacting to you?

Sorry I don’t meet your standards. I don’t spend a lot of time here because I prefer to be outside, I’ve got too many interests to just focus here. I stated my opinion on the matter and the two of you came out with knives. Obviously I struck a nerve, maybe you do realize I have a point? I grew...

    Discovery 2 Vs GX470

You know the Toyota guys crank it to 11. Every brand has its fans, but the Toyota guys just can’t wrap their head around why you’d pick something else, and then denigrate you for it. I have my doubts you’ll see it objectively given you username, but keep an eye out.

I’m another vote for the LR3 (we’ve also owned a D2 and loved it). I’m contemplating a D1 or D2 to build as a more aggressive trail rig, but nothing beats the 3 as an all around DD/overland type vehicle. They are so comfortable commuting and plenty capable on the trail. Mine has 220k on the...

    Thinking About an LR3

I’ve got an ‘06 SE, non HD. It’s my daily drive and currently has 211k on it. It had some EAS issues when o bought it that I tracked down to pinholes in a front airbag. When I replaced the strut it was dated 2006 and had 180k on it! I run 265/70/18 Cooper S/T Maxx tires. I’ve got a Gap tool...

    Treadwright Remolded Tires

I’m sure they’re fine for your trailer. My brother has a set of 285/70/17 on his sequoia, they were horrible. They took a massive amounts of weight to balance them and they always had a bad vibration. The tread had 2” extensions in them, like the tread band was too short and they had to add to...
