    EV Hummer Good Off-Road?

Does anyone have any experience with an EV Hummer off-road? Being over 9k lbs it's pretty heavy, which I've always been told is detrimental to off-roading, particularly in sand, mud, and going up inclines with gravel or loose rocks, but since the EV Hummer has a lot of torque and both locking...

Does 1k lbs make a difference?

P300 to P400. Adds almost 1k lbs believe it or not.

New Defender 90 vs. 2 Door Wrangler Rubicon

I was also thinking about the axles. Being IFS am I likely to pop a CV or some component of the IFS on the Defender? And how much less likely to break something if it's solid axle?

New Defender 90 vs. 2 Door Wrangler Rubicon

I'm also wondering how detrimental it might be that the Defender doesn't have front lockers.

2 Door Wrangler Rubicon vs. New Defender 90 Off-Road

I've had the opportunity to off-road in Jeeps in the past and their off-road abilities are amazing. I've never off-roaded a new Defender, as it's a newer vehicle, so I'm wondering if anyone has off-roaded both of these how do they compare? Is one clearly a better off-roader than the other?

Does 1k lbs make a difference?

Yes, it makes more power. Weight is 3,900 without and 4,800 with bigger engine.

Does 1k lbs make a difference?

The additional 1k would be for a larger engine.

Does 1k lbs make a difference?

What if the extra 1k lbs is at the engine bay?

Does 1k lbs make a difference?

Say I have exactly the same vehicle for off road. In places like mud, sand, loose rocks, ect, how much of a difference does 1k lbs make? Say one car weighs 4k lbs and an identical one weighs 5k lbs, is the 4k lbs car going to have a significantly easier time off roading than the 5k lbs car? I...

    Expedition One Bullbars

Wow! That looks bad for the poor truck. That's actually a perfect example of when bullbars are not engineered and just bolted to the frame. When they hit something they transfer 100% of the shock to the car's frame and might even augment body damage. A property engineered bullbar shouldn't do...

    Expedition One Bullbars

Does anyone have any experience with Expedition One bullbars? Do they have a crumple zone like the ARB bullbars? ARB bullbars work very well because they have a crumple zone, so if the impact isn't devastating the crumple zone of the bullbar takes the trauma leaving the frame or chassis of the...

    Which Defender to Get?

Thanks for your replies guys. I was leaning towards the P300 because it's a whole 1k lbs lighter and has 18" wheels, although I hear lucky 8 has an aftermarket solution to fit 18" wheels onto a P400 Defender. But then I was kind of undecided because the P400 has over 100 HP more than the P300...

    Which Defender to Get?

I'm torn on what Defender to get. I do plan on doing quite a bit of off-roading. I want to get the V8 Defender but it's about 2k lbs heavier than the P300 engine and loses that payload, payload is only a little more that 1k lbs. Additionally, the smallest wheels are 20" and there doesn't appear...

Any Hindrances Because of the LR Defender's Unibody Design?

Ah, that makes sense. No wonder I keep hearing it's easier and cheaper to repair if body on frame but to mee it seemed pretty much the same; but I was thinking actual OEM specs.

    Expedition One Bumper vs. ARB

Does anyone have any experience with how the Expedition One bumper compares with the ARB bumper? I see that Expedition One is one of the very few to offer aftermarket bull bumpers for the new Defender but I hadn't heard of them before. I know ARB even has a special testing facility to test the...

Any Hindrances Because of the LR Defender's Unibody Design?

I'd heard that unibodies were very difficult to fix in case of a collision while body on frames were relatively easy, but having researched the subject it appears to be almost the same, a section has to be cutout and replaced, so I don't really see the difference there.

Any Hindrances Because of the LR Defender's Unibody Design?

I've been seriously thinking about a Defender, the 90, because of its excellent approach, breakover, and departure angles. However, has anyone experienced any issues specifically related to the Defender being unibody rather than body on frame?
