Well, here we go again! Atl-atl gets another Four Wheel Campers "Blazer"

I adore your work. Love reading about it all. I have a 2017 Lexus GX, but for my own uses, I snagged a Ranger and lo and behold...a small FWC appeared very near to me! I was going to snag it to throw on my Ranger but someone got there before me. Still on the hunt, in large part due to your work...

    This very much intrigues me.

    Mexican 1000

Unless there's been a update I missed, we're at 6 weeks-ish with no diagnosis or explanation about something pretty significant. This cannot be considered anything other than a boutique vehicle at this point, which I (and others) have been bleating about for years now. If it were a water in the...

    The Heap. A Gen 2 Tracker/Vitara Build

I love Monstaliner and it's one of my favorite things. It does a great job and holds up well, and I never saw any fade with colors, though YMMV. Going to be doing it on my Ranger shortly after we finish some oxide mitigation on the rocker. This is beyond impressive and has been fun to watch.

    72 IH + ‘85 Alaskan = Questionable Judgment...

Are you able to start in 2? I know an old F350 with a four speed had a granny gear that was useless for anything other than towing. Does yours have the power to start rolling in 2nd everytime?

    72 IH + ‘85 Alaskan = Questionable Judgment...

I mean....what's the possible explanation for that pattern? A plan to be able to easily rock it if and when you get stuck? Lots of slow speed vehicle placement in close quarters?

    EarthCruiser is closing!?!?!

I don't remember who the upfitter is, but there was the recent story about the one that had a product that grenaded its rear axle and got stuck and caused a really difficult recovery which can be found on Youtube. I mention this because I don't remember hearing a whole lot of major problems...

    EarthCruiser is closing!?!?!

Not really a "cajones" contest. The purpose of this thread is about EC closing, and you're completely correct that all the rest has nothing to do with it...and shouldn't even be on this website/forum in the first place.

    EarthCruiser is closing!?!?!

Sorry: not prejudging current EC owners at all. But do keep trying.

    EarthCruiser is closing!?!?!

It really looks like you're digging up info for nefarious means. They may or may not add you to their group, but Opus and ER are completely different planes of existence. As before, the level of disposable income to have an ER means they don't worry about what others think, especially as general...

    EarthCruiser is closing!?!?!

Yeah, man, you're not going to get any information out of those guys, and that's just fine. This is a whole ownership level beyond Raptor and TRX owners; these people have disposable income, and your posts read like you're trying to find out what they're doing. Same level of interest on their...

    EarthCruiser is closing!?!?!

Wow. The mod comments are another one of those things that is prettttty peculiar about this whole entire situation. Permaban? One might think some things about all this.

    EarthCruiser is closing!?!?!

If one were to do some intelligent Googling, one would be able to find an awful lot of things that would bring one to have some opinions on things. Since it's a little bit of what I do...I'm confident in my opinions that I have on this situation. But allow to say that there are some seriously...

IG 'Service' Center Location / Discussion

I have enjoyed seeing the extent that the Defender has really grown. I'd never touch one with a ten foot pole, but they are reallllly trying to do exciting things with it, including some beastly powertrains, many different levels of trim, and so on. Part of me wonders if you're seeing an arms...

IG 'Service' Center Location / Discussion

It's mind-blowing that a company has released a new vehicle and has no defined service plan for most of the country it released it in. And the general public (and anyone here, specifically) thinks it's ok.

    Second test drive...

Not to derail the thread, but I thought one big benefit of getting a Jeep with AEV work done to it was that it steered and rode much better than stock, even with the big tires. Was it any better than stock, or don't you know?

    Second test drive...

I have driven exactly that rig. Holy poop, man. That's the worst thing about the Gren I've seen yet. Get something lightly used and build it up so it's all the fancy you want. I mean, I get what you're talking about as far as new stuff. But wow. And both Lexus and Toyota are about to have some...

The Lump: Long Distance Comfort in LHD

That's bananas. Let's not forget the Audi 5 pedal worries from so many years ago. I cannot speak for them there down-under types. But that seems like it's realllllly close to the brakes...or is that the clutch with a pedal like that?
