I was really having a lot of fun in BC in the Squamish area. The mountain bike scene has really blown up since I was last there. The trail conditions and weather were perfect. We met a lot to really cool travelers from Europe, USA, and a few locals and shared some trailhead drinks...

Unicorn on the Ocean - 1120AF Coming to Canada

Speaking of "enclosed garages", regardless of what goes in them, I'm a big fan of them. Not sure what your hobbies/plans are. But I've seen a few rigs go with enclosed structures for Moto bikes, ski gear, etc... It makes a world of difference when living or doing extended trips. Not only is a...

So I've been picking my very small mechanical brain. When trying to track down the loss of speed, I was continuously feeling all my drums as had known brake problems. Both rear dreams would feel slightly warm to touch after highway drives. But nothing hot or remotely uncomfortable. Yesterday...

I'll try to get under the truck while it's aired up this week and see if I can find spot to check pressures. I'm assuming most leaks could also be found with a spray bottle and by sound as well. The rear brakes/drums were replaced as they wear was very uneven and the drums showed evidence of...

I am assuming you are are taking about the brake canisters? That's a good idea. I've go through some quick pressure checks once it's aired up, but if it's leaking back there, that won't show up on the gauges and allow the wedge pistons to be pushed out a bit. But if it's happening to both sides...

Thanks for that man. I do think my background, how I grew up, my work life, and experiences give me some perspectives on life. I can honestly say I feel very fortunate to have experienced what I have. My worse case scenarios are still better than what many face in the world. I got the brake...

I did, thank you! I even found a vendor that sells them in Europe for under 20 Euros. But I'm looking for closer options right now. I've emailed some mog vendors to see if anyone has these within the USA. I'm currently in Bellingham, WA. My goal is to cross into Canada tomorrow. It's possible...

Thanks mogs-dogs. It's 1993 917 AF with a turbo 0m366, no intercooler. I can private message you the VIN if that helps.I have been on the internet for HOURS trying to find a diagram or pic of that cover. It looks like it's sealed with an o-ring? I'm guessing 438 is a ring/gasket and 429 is a...

Joe, the prior owner was very kind and stocked me with spare filters. This was helpful in tracking down new ones using the part numbers. The exception has been the air filters. I've literally ordered several sets but haven't received any. Recently ordered some via eBay.uk, shipping info shows...

There is an OEM oil filter on the passenger side that hangs under the engine next to the oil pan. It's possible that could house a filter. But I really don't know, I've never taken that of or even tried to loosen it. I did but a wrench on it and it seems tight.

Currently in the PNW of the USA and have been getting back to mountain biking. I've really been out of shape and biking helps. The past weeks have been filled with exploring new to me bike trails, meeting fellow travelers, and visiting a few old friends. I am also VERY thankful for diplostat for...

    Improving headlight options.

Thanks to Diplostrat, I was able to secure multiple parts through a vendor including much needed new, OEM headlight buckets. The ones I had had failed housing and I had to use a ghetto version of tensioned wire to aim the beams in the right direction. I installed them yesterday and replicated...

My last pup was a true trail dog. He needed to run a minimum 15-17 kilometers per session to keep him happy. He would do up to 80 kilometers at a time. He was a boxer and lived to be around 16 years old (quite long for his breed). Tobi came to me a few months ago and was extremely underweight...

Currently in Bellingham, WA. We were traveling the inland states of the USA when it started getting really hot. Stopped in La Junta, CO and was hoping to keep heading east. But the temps drove us back to the coastline. The past weeks have been spent exploring new to me mountain bike trails. We...

    Reliable vendors for North America?

In my scenario, my housing is cracked and it's difficult to keep my beams aligned. So I'm looking to replace the housing so I can have a legit beam pattern and I'd prefer OEM mounting.

    Reliable vendors for North America?

Good morning. I did reach out to your vendor and they seem be very responsive so far. Thanks for that referral. :) I wasn't aware that these trucks could take a standard sized 5x7 bulb. Is that correct?
