My first Jeep wasn't a Jeep, it was a Ford. 1943 Ford GPW with a hot 302, 4 speed with a Hurst shifter and a Lincoln locker. You could do donuts without touching the steering wheel until you either puked or drilled a hole to China.
Well it took a while but the price was finally dropped enough that I hit the "buy now" last Thursday night. Picking it up over the 4th weekend, it's 280 miles from my house so relatively close.
