No doubt it's a solid truck with a great engine. There are pros and cons with each generation of Land Cruiser. If you're OK with the increasing amount of technology and complexity in the newer models, I'd argue that the best ever would be the yet to be released 250 series. Why? Much better...

Sounds like a bad wheel bearing. Anyone calling themselves a mechanic can do this repair with ease. Full float makes it simpler. An amateur with practically zero experience working on cars could also do it by simply following a U tube video.

Interesting. Toyota sees the 250 as positioned between the 70 and 300, capable and affordable. The turbo 4 cylinder keeps the cost down a bit while offering better MPG. Good move guys!

I took my 62 on a few road trips on Alcan and Cassiar within Alaska and lower 48. Look forward to doing the same with the 80 this summer. The gas bill will be substantial, no doubt.
