Mint "80" - Would You Have the Roof Cut Off to Install a Campteq?

Personally, I would not... it is too permanent and there are many good RTT options out there.

    Fridge cover...yes or no?

I have the Engel MT45 Platinum fridge with the insulated cover. The cover definitely keeps the metal shell of the fridge cool to the touch. Without the cover, the metal shell will get very hot from sun exposure. I also like the fact that the cover protects the expensive fridge from...

    Favorite Tire Repair Kit?

I've had great luck with the ARB kit. I've plugged around 5 passenger car tires and 1 BFG AT/KO2. Great kit at a reasonable price.

    One-burner propane stove?

I suppose stacking cookware works to diffuse the heat, but the ability to precisely control the heat will allow the use of "weight weenie/cheap pots/pans" and simmer extremely well. The gas valve on the Partner was about 3/4 turn from off to full blast, where the Jetboil is about 6-turns from...

    Rtt on rainy trips

I wonder if using a air mattress instead of the supplied mattress would be a better option during the wet months... just a thought. I have yet to camp in a downpour with my Tepui so I can't really provide much more.

    One-burner propane stove?

I’ve gone from the 22” Partner Steel to the Jetboil Halfgen single burner along with their little satellite burner. Main thing that I didn’t like about the Partner was its inability to simmer. So far, so good.

    Camp Chef Mountaineer Stove

I have a 22" Partner Steel stove. It is a very well built stove but weak point is its ability to operate at low heat to simmer. How is the Camp Chef in the simmering department?

    Easy Access Cooking Table

I built a simple platform that allows for the large Front Runner table (45.3" x 29.5") to slide underneath everything and it has worked out great in my 80-series. This allows for the table to be the first thing to come out at camp and the last thing to go back in.
