Its all personal preference, i hated my ARE. The fiberglass literally separated at the base of the cap, garbage. Havent had a single issue with my leer in 5 years.

I would definately recommend the leer caps, I believe I have the 100XQ. It is a very solid cap and retains heat very well when sleeping in the back in winter(which is pretty much year around in ND). Here is a link to some pics of mine...

Good luck on yours by the way. I think I spent almost as much time trying to figure out how I was going to do something than it took me to actually do it. It is definately worth it in the end, I use mine every single day and refused to pay truckvault $3000.

I cannot find any pictures of those steps. But basically I made a solid drawer, then made separate drawer fronts cut to fit the full opening. I used southco paddle latches. I cut the front of the drawer fronts to fit the latches and only had to router out the back of the drawer front for the...

Thanks guys... The rear bumper is a road armor that I am about half ways done with a double swingout for, so it actually does not come with those taillight guards. Front bumper is a tdk, which I believe stands for throttle down kustoms.

I used a pin in each rear corner of the drawers that hits on two pieces of angle iron mounted to the framing below the drawer. Jst have to pull the pins to be able to fully remove the drawer. I would take pics but the pins are buried right at the moment.

I did not use drawer slides, I used 1" square tubing that rolls on skateboard bearings. 60" drawer slides are around $400 per pair and I have around $100 onto the tubing and bearings. Here is a link to my build thread...

Ready for paint. Both drawers bedlined and test fitted. Secured top down. Tie downs mounted. Made all the supports for the top side pieces. Supports mounted. Side pieces cut. Sides attached. Front trim piece and drawer fronts mounted.
