Thanks Luc. I didn't have the LJ when I started the trailer project ... but I'm sure glad I have it now! The LJ took me away from the trailer for a while as it needed a fair bit of work but it will all work out in the end. There's still lots to do on the trailer but it's coming along.

Still under construction but here's mine on its maiden voyage ... from the driveway all the way around my house to the back yard!

Thanks Jason. The interior is in great shape and it's the same colour as my XJ. The pic below shows it with the seat covers on. When I took them off they were in perfect condition! As good as the seats are though I'm probably going to put in a set from a Hyundai Tiburon as I've done...

Thanks Presto88 & Mitch502. I got lucky with this one. It's pretty much as clean underneath. Almost no rust which is unheard of up here. The trailer has come along way since my last post on it. I'm due for an update!

I did that on my XJ. Apart from the obvious benefits (strength, stiffening, etc.) it's a LOT easier to do than putting in original replacement rockers.

I love the "fake profile". I say that with the greatest of respect. :) The bottom line of the rack gives the side profile look that I'm going for but you've maximized the cabin space with a flat roof. For an amateur like me it will be easier to construct too.

I jumped right to your link without reading what you posted and we came to the same conclusion. My only thought was that the tongue should be replaced with one that went under the frame and farther back into it, may be to the first cross member in front of the wheels. It looks like that...

I don't mind the gray hard tops and think they look great on some Jeeps. In my case though I have soft and hard half door uppers that are black. I run my LJ with full doors in the winter but for the short time that I do run it with half doors and the hard top it doesn't look right. I plan...

Are gray hard tops unique to 2005? I have a '04 LJ with a gray top but it was installed by a previous owner. Mine did not come with a hard top when it was purchased new.
