3 Weeks in Baja – Surfing, SUPing and Dirt Roading

@ThundahBeagle take it easy amigo. I love enjoying remote parts of the peninsula, for the people, the food, emptyish beaches and natural beauty. People blowing up special locations for their own ego and/ or profit is a huge bummer. Years ago I posted a build thread on my first gen Tacoma. In it...

Callen Camper Company- Back in Business

My buddy recently got a custom camper from Enduro Campers in SLO that reminded me a lot of my old Callen’s except this one is made of composite panels and the nose is carbon fiber. Fit and finish is pretty amazing for a new camper company.

    2003 F-250 5.4 4x4 and 1999 Alpenlite Camper $15k

Not mine but this looks like a pretty good price for a turn key rig: https://slo.craigslist.org/cto/d/san-luis-obispo-2003-250-and-1999/7417115450.html

Another FWC in the wind thread... whats the Flap Factor on a FWC?

I have had mine open in 50 to 60 mph winds down in Baja and slept like a baby. I’d say the flap factor is maybe 1-3. With gas struts and the lift panels I don’t worry about the FWC collapsing on itself. This is the best camper set up I have had so far and I have owned hi shells, Callens and big...

From VA to the west coast in a 7.3L

If the 7.3 is not starting when warm it is probably the IPR on the back of the HPOP. It took me a while to figure this out on my own as by the time I’d change a starter or CPS or x part the motor would be cool again and fire right back up. A way to test this is by putting an ice cube on the IPR...

Great White Buffalo - 2000 Ford 7.3 Powerstroke

I would recommend having the hi pressure oils lines replaced. Mine failed 5 hours south of the border and it was a long tow home… Also replace the glow plug relay and starting solenoid. Some fresh AGM batteries can’t hurt either as the 7.3 needs a lot of juice to turn over. Regarding sensors you...

Is an F250 6.2 V8 Gas Reliable Enough?

@dole I have a 2014 F250 6.2 with 85k trouble free miles so far. Just for a reference point I bought it with 73k miles on it for $25k. There is an electrical harness attached to the e-brake pedal that can cause some funky issues if the pedal is being let go of and slamming back up. I snipped the...
