True. Fwiw, whenever I'm on a trip and go out of cell coverage the first thing I do is send a message to my wife letting her know I'll be out of cell coverage. That way she has the number at the top of her phone. Also fwiw, that number has not changed in the last 2-3 years.

I had my wife, daughter, and parents set up a separate contact for me to message me on my InReach. Once you send them a message, they can always send a text to the same number and you'll get it.

I don't see how it's different that the InReach Mini, at least in terms of its capabilities. Am I missing something? And there's still no way to communicate directly from one messenger to another, something that really drives me crazy.

I'm generally not a Jeep guy although I owned a CJ7 for a few years, but this is a really nice truck! Well done!

As someone mentioned above, the Colorado ZR2 is the only one with Auto-4WD which is very handy in snow. It's also the only truck that comes from the factory with front and rear lockers. I don't know if you do your own maintenance, but oil changes on the Colorado (gas) are super easy.

I've been meaning to ask, how do you guys deal with the bugs? You seem to always camp next to rivers or lakes, so I have to imagine the mozzies are out in force.

My ARB is mounted in the same spot on my Colorado. I found hooking up the hose to be a pain in the ass. I made up a hose and connected it to the chuck which I mounted on the plastic surround like so:

I sealed the front edge of the bed with silicone and got extra seal material for the tailgate. That seems to have helped greatly.
