    "Squatchpod" -squaredrop camper build

It's not the threads that leak. It's the valve. Tony

If you get some leakage with that valve, spend $15 on a brass hose bib. The threads should be the same. Tony

Go lay down on your bed. Now sit up and rotate to the edge as if you will get up, but pause. That's the same spot you sat down to get on the bed. That's where the doors need to be. Right where your hip is when prone, it makes for an easy entry/exit. It's one of many reasons teardrops have stood...

    Proper propane setup

When I was doing the build for my book, I brought in a long-term propane installer to guide me through the process. There was no way I needed to make a mistake that would drive many folks down a dangerous rabbit hole. Tony

    Proper propane setup

There is no valve in the Partner female connector–-which is part of the stove. When you screw in the hose, it pushes the valve open on the male end. Tony

    Proper propane setup

It's the connectors that came with the stove. A quick connector. Nothing special but that line takes 26 pounds of pressure which is a helluva lot higher than the appliances you're trying to run. You can get a look-see of the male end here...

    Proper propane setup

Nope. It's always connected to the propane via a hose. Lift the lid, and you're cooking with gas. Tony

    Battery charging in trailers

Why not just solar? We often camp at one spot for days, and relying on the tow vehicle to maintain the battery wouldn't work. I've got a switch to activate charging from the tow vehicle, and it's been turned on once to test, and that's it. Tony

DIY Overland camper trailer build: Taco_Shellter

I had an issue one evening after a travel day in wet weather. When we hit camp, we were cold and tired –and the heater threw an error code. I keep a small air filter on the air intake line and it was soaked. I removed it and reset the controller. (y) We surely love our Propex. Tony

Buy? My CNC files are free: https://www.tonylatham.net/teardrop-cnc-files.html But you should spend the $19 for the book to understand how the parts–-whether you chose to hand cut or CNC the parts–– go together. You can find it in the Amazon Jungle: Building a Teardrop Trailer: Plans and...
