That's very cool, from what I've researched the issue with mine and many other CDH designs is that if you use the built in thermostat, the heater will just kick down to the low setting but keep running which supposedly is a very in efficient way to run and also contributes to a lot of soot build...

I went down the CDH rabbit hole looking for a way to find a thermostat control setting and found this product that a lot of people are using to have a thermostat function https://bureck.company.site/ This leads me to believe that mine doesn't have one built in I suppose. Your CDH must be a more...

Nice! I haven't tried to use the thermostat on mine but I assume it has one. How does it take a reading? Through the controller?

That magnetic light in your hatch looks pretty cool, You can probably stick it anywhere you want to the outside of your truck too or wherever there's steel

Yeah what he said ^^ lol FWIW My side hatch is still totally usable since the wedge is attached to the inner camper hatch frame with some simple velcro pieces and functions the same with or without the wedge. You can get it to seal tighter if needed by using a bungee to pull it tighter by...

Mine is pretty much just like yours but with hinges to fold the upright pieces flat. I used some weather stripping to seal up most of the gaps but I may add some more. I use velcro to keep the uprights from flopping down. BTW you should point that exhaust downwards so condensation doesn't build...

I run a wedge through the side hatch, it was easy to make and I add hinges to the "wings" so it folds up when traveling. I don't really need / want a heater full time for now so this makes everything easily left at home to save space & weight. I got an extension cable for the display screen so I...

    Awning recommendations?

I know exactly where I am and I'm sure it's a nice piece of kit but for the rest of us blue collar mere mortal awning needing people it's also probably waaaaay overkill.

Check out OVS they make some good options for 270 awnings...you don't need to spend 1k or more for a decent awning these days.

There is no general overall height, it depends on your truck and camper specifically. Call OVRLND and ask for dimensions of the camper that would go on your truck and add it to the height of your truck

If you already own one I can see the appeal for sure. I'd make sure to add some beefy bracing / plates to the inner wall through bolts to keep the aluminum framing from getting compromised.

I got my camper in late feb this year and started building it out mid March after moving to a new place with a good work space. After having an indoor cooking space and dinette in my Alaskan so long, I really wanted to figure a way to incorporate a dinette in the smaller space and be able to...

I have the OVS 270 LT, it only weighs 39 lbs and it's great. Not sure why you would want the heavier one?

Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

I'm a bit late to the party but I have a question regarding point #4 Input Voltage. If I'm running input power off my Lithium power bank that is putting out over 13 v, will I get the error code you speak of? Do I need some kind of regulator wired in line of the power feed to the heater to get it...

Nice set-up , Can you please elaborate on the Timberline conversion, did you have them install it? Can you show pics of the front axle and coilovers? I'm not that familiar with Timberline. Thanks
