    Thanks to all who responded, commented or expressed an interest- including vatsacom and others. Rooftent is now sold - to someone who lived in Scotland, wanted to fit it on to his Toyota HiLux, and was able to come and collect. I was sad to see it go, but time and life moves on....

    Thanks DCH109.... you are spot on about this model being bomb-proof etc. And in the real world (as opposed to Formula 1) aerodynamics are not critical especially when the rooftent is mounted on a 4x4 which is almost as square as a brick! The gallery/rail system is a real advantage on long...

    Reliability of Jeep 4L

    XJ reliability - good engine, take care of the body I agree with previous posts. Look after the 4.0 litre engine (like John B, I recommend Mobil 1) and it will last well. Mine's done 120k and hasn't missed a beat. Now the body... that's another matter. Unibody structure is OK, but why...
