Found two projects, help me pick one.

I've looked at campers as well, the one that stood out to me was the Rockwood Geo Pro G19BH for it's size and that it has 2 bunk beds with a queen. Main concern for me with converting a large used vehicle it the possibility of constant drive train/suspension repair & being stuck with the vehicle...

Found two projects, help me pick one.

I'd be lucky to find a van project under $500 in my area. But wouldn't scrap price on the bigger van bring in more than that?

Found two projects, help me pick one.

Yes, I've been having my doubts on that one. I'd really love to find a closed cab version for a flatbed 4x4 rig but they never seem to go up for sale in my area. The second one is a little bigger than I may need and makes me wonder how it would do in dirt roads.

Found two projects, help me pick one.

I've come across two van's that seem priced really well although both will need work to make drivale. First is a 2004 E350 w-5.4L engine short box van with a side entrance but needs motor work, owner has spare engine to sell with it but I'm hesitant to buy motors with out knowing the history of...

Replacing Club Wagon Windows, Need Advice!

Thanks for the link! Some reason every other place I found online never had that item listed. Even a search didn't bring up any sites that offered it, but I did find a site that sold an Adrian Steel partition & was able to find it there after digging deeper. I had emailed another site for a...

Replacing Club Wagon Windows, Need Advice!

I had thought about adding walls to the rear & just cover them up or maybe some van shelving on both sides to cover the windows but decided against the shelves since it would take up too much cargo space. Thanks for getting those links, I had looked at items like that but the screens only work...

Replacing Club Wagon Windows, Need Advice!

Since buying my '95 E150 Club Wagon, I've been debating what to do with the rear windows to make them more secure so the vehicle isn't so easily broken in to. I had first thought I could buy some thick metal screen to attach to the interior along with some dark tint. But after seeing an old...

    Thoughts on an '99 F350 V10

Thanks, but I don't plan to take this thing offroad, it's only in my driveway because I didn't want a mini van & couldn't afford the stupid prices that used 4x4's are going for in my area. My plans so far are to gut it and pick up some ford transit seats and install them for the kids to sit in...

    Thoughts on an '99 F350 V10

Well I decided that the search for a decent 4x4 pickup wasn't going to pan out so I decided to go a different route. I decided to buy an E-150 Club Wagon w-81k miles for $1,250. I figured for the time being the van would work as a family hauler & still have the capacity to haul gear. I've seen...

    Thoughts on an '99 F350 V10

Thankfully it's not an auto, I probably wouldn't touch it if it was. Not that I have anything against them, but my experience is that manuals are more reliable & easier to keep the mpg up. I also stray away from anything that has rust even if it's cheap. So why would you choose a new engine...

    Thoughts on an '99 F350 V10

Thanks for the reply's everyone! I'll most likely get a chance to check it out next week when I get back home from vacation. Been researching on crate engines & rebuilds for preparation of what the cost might be to fix the engine. I don't have the skill or space to take on a project like that...

    Thoughts on an '99 F350 V10

Hi everyone, Been on the forum for a bit while searching for a proper vehicle to build my expedition rig. I found an extended '99 F350 4x4 with a V10, 5 speed, & dual rear wheels axle that has a flatbed w-dump . Has the vinyl bench seat & manual windows for simplicity. It's priced at $2500...
