    For packing clothing...

I have zero use for hard side luggage if it isn't a pelican for airline travel. I wish Patagonia wouldn't feel the need to fiddle with their offerings so often. I at times have pondered buying 2 of each bag for when one gets worn out. (I have put holes in the fabric)

    Quality gloves

http://geierglove.com/goatskin.html By a long shot the most durable gloves I have owned. 305s, the 330s are thinner, however they are a little less durable.

Lightweight Cabinet Materials - Plywood/Coosa Alternatives

Anyone messed with using coroplast sheets bonding 2 sheets together in opposite orientations? That would be a pretty cost effective way to overcome the problems of single axis structure for lay-flat applications.

Tire Repair kits & Backwoods repairs

Discount Tire is one of if not the most risk adverse tire store. They wouldn't patch a tire that had a slash in the valley groove, not plugged plenty of tire life, and not a garbage tire either. Local shop fixed it right up.

Tire Repair kits & Backwoods repairs

Neat, didn't know those were a thing. I have tried the jack trick (not on trail) to fix some rock rash that had started tearing up the tire. Didn't work worth a crap and ended up just fixing it during a routine seasonal swap. I will probably grab one of these. BTW we grab some of you hitch...

Tire Repair kits & Backwoods repairs

Yeah an interior patch with glue and a torch. I have been told that with in an inch of the sidewall its difficult to get the patch to last.

Tire Repair kits & Backwoods repairs

An interior patch really is the only way to fix that. However we have good experiences with the GlueTread products. It wouldn't solve that problem exactly but defiantly offers some capabilities to repair side wall damage on the trail. I do wonder in a pinch if you could use 3-4 plugs, some...

    For packing clothing...

Are you after soft goods? We have Toyed with making duffels and the like, but haven't made the commitment to develop the patterns yet. As we are still in the same rig flux and perfered set up flux. My wife and I both use the Patagonia black hole duffels for almost everything (another reason we...

Best $200 (or less) Tool Kit for College Student?

One thing that we have learned the hard way is that good leather gloves that fit your hands well might be the greatest asset. 200 bucks is hard to build that price range with stuff that I would personally trust giving to someone to use. I would: Make sure she knows how to check fluids, read...

first gen tundra wedge/pop camper options ? (post your pics)

Couple of things about the GFC, first, I am not associated with them other than I am friends with one of the engineers there, we own an RTT from them, and we hang out with the crew at times as we are locals. 1. I doubt you'll find a stronger camper, especially on a pound for pound basis. Looks...

    Wide hiking boots

First post and all that; Obviously footwear is subjective. I went from Solomon Quest 4ds, which I love, they struggle to last a season of hiking for me. To A set of Italian built Schnee's Kestrels, on paper is an incredible boot, in reality it's wide variant not a wide at all, its a very narrow...
