Set of 5 studded 35” Duratracs on 17” 8x170 wheels. Central Oregon.

I am happily moving to a tropical climate and no longer need snow tires for my 4x4 van. Tires are located near Bend, OR. Please text 208-995-7060 as I likely won’t be logging back in here to check messages. This is a set of five Goodyear Duratrac tires which are studded on MB 17” wheels. They...

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

That looks like an early morning shot. I was passed out on my comfy bed in Gallivanter when that photo was taken. Good picture. I didn't take any.

    FOUND Vans For Sale!

False! I dug into a van to do exactly that and it was not there. Also looked at a few in junkyards. Wasn't there either. I believe this to be a false internet rumor. I've never actually read of anybody who physically saw this wiring just waiting to be hooked up. Only those who "believe" or...

Base model! Stay away! You'll hate not having cruise, pw and pl. I promise. Find one with those options. Don't do what I did for van #1.

    Transfer tank for E350

So excited for this. I just did a 600 mile trip to a bluegrass festival and averaged 9.8mpg. Pretty disappointed but what else would I expect from a 4x4 V10 van on 35s with a huge rack and massive rocket box doing 75 down the interstate? With the modified main tank and losing a few gallons after...

I would love to see a "how to" write up of that sububuran tank if you do it.

Why isn't anybody but Aluminess making a side ladder?

I guess there is no reason one of those ladders couldn't be modified. It's back to the fact that I don't know how weld to modify said welder. Sent you a PM RE rafting. It's my thread and I wouldn't even care if this one was hijacked and derailed. But nonetheless.... PM

    I'M BATVAN! ...a 2006 E350 V10 DIY Ujoint Conversion

I can sure feel your pain with that one.... Bent axles suck. That's two for me, one for you, and one for Gregor and MG with 100% Satisfaction. At least you found yours in Ontario so there isn't a bunch of shipping involved. But a two hour round trip does cost money in fuel.

Gallivanter: An Ominous Beginning and an Optimistic Future

Whew, that was a lot of writing today. I know I haven't written an actual build post as part of the story in a long time. I hit it hard today. Go back to page #13 and post #127. It's all new from there to here for your reading and viewing pleasure.

Gallivanter: An Ominous Beginning and an Optimistic Future

Onward! In with the new 4x4 Expedition transmission! I'm so smart saving myself money by installing this transmission out of an Expedition….Dun dun dun Pulling one of these beasts out is one thing. Installing it by yourself is a completely different animal. Jebus, these things are...

Gallivanter: An Ominous Beginning and an Optimistic Future

While all this axle crap was going on, I was actually getting some stuff done here and there. I got the frame painted just with rattle can, but it cleaned it up nice. I repainted that vacuum canister mount and got it drilled for getting bolted back on when the passenger side radius arm bracket...

Gallivanter: An Ominous Beginning and an Optimistic Future

I found another axle on eBay. It was only one of two for sale I could find in the entire country with 4.30 gears going through the few places I knew about. Having learned several lessons by now, I verified that it was 4.30 and it was a straight axle. I paid $1590 plus only $60 to ship it from...
