This is the curt hitch after I flipped it. Great clearance. Of course the ball is supposed to be up..just a test fit for the receiver. [url=https://flic.kr/p/rCPtiy]

I bought the curt, and then cut the horizontal bar off and flipped it, inserted some additional smaller square tube re-assembled and re-welded. Then cut a square hole in the plastic bumper for the hitch to plug into. Came out real nice and had good clearance. Too bad the truck got totaled soon...

Got a set of stock rims and tires off a 99 gen2.5 that I need out of my garage, I'll have to check to see how much tread is on them though. let me know in the Temecula area. will seel them to you cheap.

If your pulley is wobbly, cease using the truck and tear down and inspect ASAP. You risk doing greater damage. You need to inspect the HB as well of the face of the crankshaft drive gear. Photos are a good tool to help us help you.

Sorry been busy, and not on here, but yes you need to swap the half shaft on passenger side. 94-96 DOHC had slightly larger CV joints than 98-00 Gen 2.5. Looks like you got that figured out now though. Diff and splines are a match though.

Sorry I didn't see this thread in time before you pulled the LS Diff, Mitsu really made it complicated with all the changes. Things vary a lot, and CV sizes also change back and forth between years and Manual and Auto trans etc..The cool thing is you can do a lot of upgrading from JY picks once...

One cool thing about the smaller LS diffs is you can get 5.29's for them. Kinda sucks the locker wont fit in the front though, so makes the trade off not worth it in most cases.

Also, measure the drive shaft flange bolts spacing with calipers and compare with the 99 I believe you wil find them to be not the same.

Well I guess you can try, let me know how it works out for you. This has been covered pretty extensively over the years on 4x4wire. You might want to take a look at ARB's fitment chart for the RD110 which is the front IFS locker. It may make sense to you then. Note that the chart you posted...

Smaller housing, smaller ring gear, smaller pinion gear. different splines on stub shafts. Will it bolt in? yes, if you use the LS's axle's it would work fine, but would be a downgrade in size and strength, and niether the aussie/ lokka or ARB will fit in it.

No need to measure it. Neither the front or rear diff will fit into a 99. You need to be looking at 94-96 SR's if you want the correct size diff with a 4.63 gear ratio. Pretty much the bottom line with these. Mitsu matched diffs with engine size...95 LS's had the 3.0 thus a smaller diff.

An LS with the 3.0 engine will have a smaller diff in both the front and rear. Not a suitable donor for the 99. Get all parts from a 3.5 equipped SR (94-96) 92-93's all had smaller diffs in the front as well except the manual transmission which is rare to see.

Phil, I have an I pad mini as well, very interested in your OBD2 interface. I made a custom (well modified really) high clearance trailer hitch mount, I'll share soon. Nothing ground breaking but somewhat of a mod nonetheless..

Agreed try the starter. Disconnect the solenoid first at the push on connector since that is the easiest, then try the big positive cable. Weird things can happen in the solenoid if the contact become partially welded or build up carbon deposits.

Put me down as a maybe. Depends on where I am with my 99 by then. Took my 95 through the con with 33's and TB/spacer lift. Gas tank was already Clearanced'..Stock gears but I was also Dual locked..

I picked up a new (to Me) 04 Limited the other day. Truck didn't come with an owners manual. This one has no sun roof but has the OEM DVD player in the dash with a flip down monitor up top on the ceiling for the passengers. Other than the eject button on the player there are no control buttons...
