    NIMBUS HARDSHELL ROOF TOP TENT

Then quit reading and just buy the things that interest you. You aren't going to change the world either way you go. No one would ever sell anything if they weren't vague or misleading, and honestly most people don't want to know the truth, at least here in the US. It gets in the way of being...

    Best sturdy camp table?

I've been thinking more on your idea since it's an idea I've had ever since I bought a Super Pacific shell for my former Tundra Crewmax. This, IMO, was misengineered to account for the sharkfin antenna that few Tundras have, meaning the manufacturer err'd on the side of the sharkfin people and...

    Best sturdy camp table?

I really hate it when a recommendation is asked for and someone gives an answer totally opposite of what was asked for but I'm going to do so here with an explanation. I hope you find what you're looking for but if you don't I'll throw out my favorite all time camp table. It doesn't store flat...

    Air Hose Reel?

Read the original post. Figured it would be oversized and overpriced. Not worth a click. Read your post, decided to click. Wow! That is impressive. And tiny. I love it. The price is even fair, a real revalation in overlanding the$e day$. Added to my neverending list, thanks!

Why the big price difference between flatbed and slide-in??

Makes sense. I would not have thought of that.

looks like a tire "fix" but... the pricing is abusive.

Which tire specifically? Size and model name if you don't mind. Can't tell anything from the pic. Thanks

    No commentary needed....

I agree with one caveat. Before the IG came along i never heard of Carraro axles. I'm likely not alone being your average 'Murican, but I had the good fortune to have my buddy's truck on the lift a couple of weeks ago and I'm VERY impressed with those axles, as well as all the other meat and...

    No commentary needed....

Most certainly. Especially considering an "out of the box overlander" without even a map pocket in the back of the seat. I've spent some time in Gren Recaros already and they are good but they are not exceptional. The only reason they've been mentioned by anyone, IMO, is that Recaro is...

    Shovel / Axe Mount

The best one I've ever had, or seen, was an older Aluminess one. NLA since they changed to a different shovel that they now want to sell with it. I really wish i could still get the old one. I wish even more that I would've kept mine when I sold the vehicle it was on.

Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

@Dave in AZ. I concur and was hoping someone like you would come along with a lot more specific knowledge. I guess I've gotten spoiled with big battery banks and don't think about just living with a single chassis battery in anything anymore. Great info.

Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

Mules, on your diesel heater sub-freezing problem, keep in mind that these heaters draw very little power when running, the big draw is at startup. I would rig up a permanent (secondary) cord from furnace to chassis battery and just run it from the chassis battery (as in all night) when needed...

good theory as to how it missed the mark.

Man, Karate Kid and Stripes quotes. And questionable British/German vehicles. I love this thread!

The Lump: Long Distance Comfort in LHD

The awkward B pillar makes the door a useless armrest if you have your seat back very far. It's a shame because it's nice and wide. I'm 6'2" but typically sit more forward than most people I know, even shorter people. It's still in the way, and it's way too high anyway. Go measure the...

Is There A Pop Up With Barn Doors?

If I ever decide to give a pop up truck camper another try it will be a Hiatus or one like it. Dealing with a tailgate/liftgate on a truck camper was the last draw for me. Thought I would get used to it. Hated it every night. It's a shame because the tailgate of the truck itself is wonderful...

    Well kitted Econoline. no affiliation

Yeah, John has pretty much stopped doing all things E-series at this point from what I've heard, however he still does offer suspension parts.

    Well kitted Econoline. no affiliation

I've had several Q's and they've always been just fine by adding only an Agile RIP kit. I've converted 4x4's before and don't enjoy it that much, honestly. I much prefer building out interiorsand other aspects of van builds a lot more than drivetrain work. Quigley, IMO, is the best value if...

    Well kitted Econoline. no affiliation

Have you considered ordering a cutaway and putting a box on it? I've really just finished my 2011 V10 build, about to do the pop top which is more or less my final big step, but I am already dreaming of ordering a new cutaway and sending it straight to Quigley.

    Well kitted Econoline. no affiliation

$75k IMO I too love the Econoline platform but I'm pretty realistic about what they are worth. Old SMB's aren't worth a lot to me. Not that this one is old but so many people are dreaming about what they are worth.
