I had a similar problem but my engine was completely shutting off. I replaced the ipr and voila problem solved. You sure are right, it’s a bear to get to. It was like a new truck. (Van).

My problem is with my '03 7.3. I figured this was a good place to post this, there's a lot of experience here. My switch for changing from defrost to vent to floor etc. has defaulted to defrost only. I know my vacuum pump is good as I've tested it and there seems to be good vacuum. No problem...

Chris, If I remember correctly at one point you had V4 straight-piped and experienced a drone that was very annoying so you installed a muffler. What muffler did you use and did it solve that issue? I have the same thing going on and I'm in the market for a muffler. Thanks, Mike
