    More fuel

Running wide-open against the 65 mph speed limiter, we were getting roughly 400 miles per tank, so we only had to fill up once or so per day...

    1998 LMTV - Ultimate RV

Heck, we purchased our MTVR, which is easily five times the truck, for about $15,000 (from GovPlanet), about 15 years newer, in nearly perfect condition, with only about 3,000 miles on it.

Is there a section for former Military vehicles??

The Unimog was not created as a military vehicle- it was created as an agricultural vehicle. Military usage came later.

The all-new Hayabusa to be revealed February 5th!

My last Hayabusa was a 2000 (the last unrestricted year) in blue and silver. I purchased it new off the showroom floor, when we found out that the 2001 was going to be restricted to 186 mph. It was a great motorcycle.

The all-new Hayabusa to be revealed February 5th!

None of the three colorways light me up, and the chrome strips on the sides of the fairing would absolutely need to go- it's a motorcycle, it doesn't need chrome...

    General gripe

I knew Tim and his late mother (Gert) Boyle professionally- I helped them out with some stuff back in the '90s. My office was right up the hill from Columbia Sportswear corporate headquarters. They were always nice to me, and their stuff has always done me well...

The all-new Hayabusa to be revealed February 5th!

This is 2021- there is no reason to have to buy a motorcycle that is incomplete. Riders may have a preference in tires, and there can be some set-up required, maybe a shock, but that's about all. My MV Agusta F3 800, for example, is the most perfect motorcycle I've ever ridden...

The all-new Hayabusa to be revealed February 5th!

Well, sort of... Information and images have been leaked. It looks like updated bodywork on the same 22 year old chassis, a full suite of modern electronic rider aids, to include sophisticated programmable traction control and ABS with an IMU, and cruise control. It also has a gear position...

Is buying a Discovery II a bad idea?

Yes- the used car with the lowest price, is often the most expensive one to own- the only thing you can purchase for a small amount of money, is someone else's past-due maintenance and repair bills...

What happens when the biggest and baddest vehicle breaks down

Weed users, at least the ones whose drug problems haven't advanced into harder drugs yet, tend to call attention to themselves to a hilarious degree- they tend to select and accessorize their vehicles in a unique way. Pot-heads like "cool" cars and trucks, but can't afford nice ones because of...

What happens when the biggest and baddest vehicle breaks down

That's probably just kids having a kegger. Tweakers do whatever they can not to attract attention to themselves, because they want to be able to move freely through the night without encountering the police- they're like cockroaches, and they don't want anyone to turn the lights on.

Ours is self-built, and Progressive had no issues with it. We have photos and receipts for everything...

What happens when the biggest and baddest vehicle breaks down

Yes, meth. Tweakers spend all of their money on drugs, so they don't have anything left over to spend on vehicles, so they usually end up with cars that are roughly 30 years old, and in poor repair. They also gravitate towards generic transportation appliances, so in urban settings it might...

    General gripe

The same principle applies to vehicles. You can buy a $250,000 truck for $250,000 from Earthwhatever, of you can buy a better one for $15,000 off the GovPlanet auctions...

What happens when the biggest and baddest vehicle breaks down

Could be tweakers- no plates, no cats, incorrect wheel offset, no spare tire, 2-into-1 Flowmaster muffler with no tailpipe, hemorrhaging rear pinion seal- it's even the vintage that tweakers prefer. They would have an extremely hard time seeing, especially during the daylight, as the meth blows...
