The days of manuals getting better MPG are long gone. I actually would be surprised if any OEM in North America is spending any money on making manual transmissions more efficient...hell Jeep does not even put the correct amount of fluid in them....:smiley_drive:

Manual are a dying breed...it is not only Jeeps. Class 8 tractors are slowly losing the 10 speed manual transmission as well. To meet EPA/GHG requirements truck OEMs are having to transition to Automated Manual Transmissions to maximize fuel economy. I wonder if back in the day the guy...

I would look at one of the V8 WKs also....newer vehicle and you can get the QD2 or QT2 4x4 systems which provide a 4LO. QD2 has electronic lockers fr and rear. Both systems are pretty much unstoppable in the snow. Parts are readily available. Both the WJ and WK are not known for vast...

Dan is the difference worth the price? Those 34s are pricey. Cooper has the ST Maxx in the 255/80/17 E for around $180 a tire. It is listed as a 32.8" tire but I have heard that people are measuring them over 33". Load capacity on the ST Maxx = 3195 lbs. Weight = 51lbs...
