I took mine off a couple weeks ago. No pics online right now. Take one off, if you don't like it put it back. I have an 03 XLS. on each side there was a black plastic piece that hung down at the rear of the steps. A sharp knife and 2 minutes time the plastic pieces were gone.

Any updates? This is sparkem from the wire. I'm all out of ECB bumpers.
