    Post Pic's of your Jeep

Since pic thread, here's another one from this weekend. Not every mile has to be off pavement. It reminds me of a spot I was in on my BMW F650 GS Dakar. I stopped at a restaurant after riding about 400 miles of dirt, mud and the usual fun roads and tracks, over the previous couple days. I...

Highest continuous paved road is Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park. (12,183') Highest paved road (it's to the top and back the same way) is Mt Evans in CO (14,160') I believe the highest pass (unpaved but vehicle accessible) is Argentine Pass in CO (13,207')

Post favorite pics of your rig and trailer

I agree. I've never found an exact copy to do it but it sure seems like an easier and potentially less expensive way to do it. Plus the characteristics are the same as the vehicle.

Post favorite pics of your rig and trailer

I'm always sort of surprised this isn't done more. The expedition trailers are such the trend yet the we spend $$$ on them. Is there a reason we don't see more wrecked trucks w/ the tail end turned into expedition trailer? Is it because it makes us think of some of the less than fashionable rigs...

Buying & Building a Medium Ambulance into an RV – The FAM-BULANCE

Perhaps a horizontal shade would be less likely to move given the driving nature of an emergency vehicle over varied terrain. While RV's are somewhat designed keep things in place while driving, many of their fixtures are not up to the jarring of a few errant bumps and sharp turns can cause...

Expedition overland article on not getting "Jeeping"

Very odd indeed Activities we all partake in vary as much as us as individuals. Even those who like the same type of vehicle will want to use it for different purposes. It is one thing for the writer to have their opinion, we all have one, but to give it a voice as an article here is very odd...

    Snow Peak Titanium Mug

Sounds like you are covered. I'd go for it. The only reason I don't use one is I travel by moto or via backpack and the single wall w/ handles works for me. But let us know what you think. It is nice not burning your lips on that first sip or two!

    Snow Peak Titanium Mug

I'm not 100% on this but I don't believe you can heat things up in the double walled mug. So putting it on a heat source isn't recommended.

TX, NM, AZ, UT (and maybe CA?), aka the bumper run

A quick trip through Anza Borrego just east of San Diego or Joshua Tree would be recommended. If you are going as far north as Zion, perhaps consider Death Valley too. And Valley of Fire SP just outside Las Vegas is worth the side trip.

Coolest Camping & Other Gadgets (and some Gift Ideas)

Headlamps I'd have to say the biggest gadget that I use so often I'd consider it a necessity is a headlamp. I started using them when sailing and loved how it was hands free allowing me to work on things. I quickly started using it for backpacking, motorcycling etc. They are now in almost every...
