    *SOLD*ARB Kakadu RTT (in Louisiana)

SOLD Purchased the ARB Kakadu RTT only a few months ago and have used it a handful of times. Everything is in like new condition and the tent itself is great! This was our first RTT, but I am selling the vehicle it was mounted to and plan on getting a hardshell RTT for the new one. ARB...

Finally ended up deciding on a tent this week and it arrived yesterday. I chose the ARB Kakadu for a few reasons: It has wider windows that will help increase ventilation, the canvas is a little thicker than a couple of the other guys, the frame is a little bit stouter and if there's no rain in...

Brackets too small for roof rack bars?

They would have worked fine for either the round yakima bars, the square Thule bars or the HD Rhino rack square bars. I have the Rhino Rack HD Vortex bars. . . supposedly quieter than the square ones, and slightly wider than the brackets that came with the tent! Stopped at the hardware store...

Brackets too small for roof rack bars?

Figured as much. Theres a channel in the aluminum of the rack bars and was questioning whether those were to be used similar to the way the nuts that attach to the RTT channel.

Brackets too small for roof rack bars?

So what's the play here? A trip to the hardware store to get longer bars? Or should a RTT be mounted to these "aero" bars differently than the others? Just making sure I mount this up right! Thanks

Used to live in Navarre, but never camped out that way. Would be cool to get back out there (haven't been in about 6 years) and camp; will bring the kayaks and take them offshore to troll for kings!

Great to hear! This was exactly the type of info I was looking for. Do you ever wish you had gotten the Sky instead? Find that ventilation in the Ruggedized is pretty good? Depending on where in the Panhandle, I may head that way! Thanks

When I bring both kayaks, I usually bring the trailer. When it is just me, I have a bed extender for the pickup and just put it in the bed. I'll be installing a roof rack this weekend, which is where the RTT will be mounted. We also have bikes that we plan on bringing on extended camping...

I'm in Baton Rouge, LA and can count the number of RTT's I have seen mounted to the roof's of vehicles with one hand- and still have enough fingers left over to throw a football! It seems most of the people using RTT's live in mountainous areas- the ideal, picturesque camping terrain! Here in...
