Hi All! It’s been awhile… have a question for you.
Has anyone figured out how to align the tires? My tires are cambered and I’m not sure how to fix. Called a handful of alignment shops in Phoenix and none of them do this type of trailer.
Thanks in advance!
Sorry guys, been busy. Guys name is Ryan. I'm back monitoring this thread and happy to get you his information. Also, his handle on Instagram is proper_garage_9_two if you want to connect to him there.
Yes it was a height issue. Welding on two tabs behind the OEM shackle points gives four points of contact. We talked about using the hitch but I opted not to for height considerations and I didn't think the increase in strength was a fair trade off.
Few more photos of the rear bumper. The last one shows how the guy that made the bumper reused the stabilizer mount points and moved them to the bumper. It has been much more usable this way. Keeps them up and out of the way without interfering with the rear door.
It's a custom job by a guy in Phoenix, it turned out great. I think he's interested in doing more. DM me if you're interested, I don't want to post his contact info on the forum.
@Silverback07 they welded a new tab behind each shackle point and then used high grade bolts. Four points of...
Well, we went out again and everything worked fine. Gotta love Arizona's beautiful desert landscape. Hoping to finalize the rear bumper design this week. Happy camping!
That sounds great! I was thinking about finding a nice spot East of I-17 instead of paying the $160 per person for camping on premise. It'd be me the wife and our two little ones.
Ha.. that's a bit of a Frankenstein job. The black base the slides are bolted to was simply thin gauge channel that I put together to create a box/frame. The sink/stove itself is, I believe, an older Dometic model I got at garage sale. I had to use a grinder to cut the perimeter to fit the width...
It's the PowerTank BKT-2288 modified to fit the flame king ysn011. All Amazon. The radius in the PowerTank is for a different tank, so I milled it larger.
This is looking from the right side at the pump, plumbing etc. The lines coming out toward you are the hot and cold for the shower. Figured the door was the best place. Replaceable if I ever don't like it and it's right by the plumbing. It was tricky getting the hot water heater to fit, but...
Should be this one

Whole trailer is actually done, tested out on Friday night. Thirty solid evenings of planning and building, but it works. Gotta get a rear bumper built to offset tongue...
