I got around to swapping out the thermostat this morning and wow what a difference. The aftermarket one was siting between 211-220. The new Land Rover thermostat is loving 197-200. (May still be a little Air in the system). I’m Happy though!

Yes I plan to do the two piece metal pan and filter as well as replacing the sleeve on the electrical socket. I’ll just get the whole kit. In the end I’ll probably be doing the oil at the same time to. I might as well make a weekend out of it and do the diffs too. ?
So... My LR3 Transmission has sprung a little leak. I think it is coming from the wires seal as it on back (has happened to my wife's before). I know i can find the parts for metal trans pan and the filter and the wiring harness seal. But are there any other specialty tools I will need??? How...

Well hit 218 today. since the Thermostat Housing is New I'm going to try to relapse just the Thermostat. Fingers Crossed. Any advise on bleeding the Coolant??? If this dose not do it I'm going to drain the whole system and Put in new Coolant.
My old 300 TDI Automatic Disco could do 70 all day long I did have to drop a gear manual going up hill, but she would humm right along. By far the most Reliable Rover I have ever had.
I had it in the shop yesterday and they said it checked out. I am left to think that it’s the aftermarket thermostat or the type of coolant they used. I’ll drain it soon and replace the coolant with coolant from Land Rover.
