    Anybody have experience with Frontiers and Pathfinders? They seem to be quite basic and reliable, as well as cheaper than Toyotas.

    I was actually going to go and see a 1999 4x4 5sp Frontier XE a few weeks ago but I think it sold. I am definitely keeping them in my sights as well. They offer very good value indeed!

    I love Tacomas but the amount of salt we use here on the roads in the Midwest is outrageous, rendering most older 80's toyota pickups into rust piles. The newer Tacomas that are rust free are way too expensive for me.

    Yeah I'd be looking for something that meets most of those goals. I love Cherokees, but they just look so damn small inside. I can't see myself fitting inside the back of one laying down, much less me and someone else... That's why a pickup or Trooper is higher up on my list

    Not really, I guess I just forgot about them. I would never consider a Wrangler just because it's so small. An XJ I may consider, but it is kind of hard to find a 4.0 manual one around me, and it seems to have a small cargo capacity although I could be wrong about that. See what steered me...
