    1995 SR fiddle thread

I've been out of town for the last month and have neglected the monty. But I had a couple extra minutes today and I managed to solve a problem which has been particularly vexing. Replacing the alternator straightened out the dash indicators, (maybe the brake light), and voltage gauge...

Checked it, no play thankfully. It's all back together and running like a top, with the exception of the alternator. Which I suspect is the source of my guage problems and is now able to drain a fully charged battery in under half an hour. I'm taking a gamble on an AC Delco rebuild, I...

The car looks like it has been sitting for awhile and had collected some moss. Sweet! Free screwdriver! After a quick bath it was looking a little better and the running boards were really bugging me so I went ahead and yanked them MUCH better!

After much lurking on here I decided that it was time to pull the trigger and this followed me home from craigslist. It's a 1995 Montero SR and it has seen better days from a cosmetic standpoint. Mechanically though it seems to be pretty strong. No oil leaks, auto trans shifts well...
