If anyone is interested... I ended up mountain a flexible solar panel onto my OVRLND camper roof with heavy duty Velcro and RV tape, as recommended by a company that does these installs often. It allows for airflow and water hasn't looked up yet. Here's a write-up I did over at my site...

Beautiful truck man! I just got back from a 1500 mile trip to Utah and my FGT did absolutely fantastic through desert and snow. What a trip that was. Mine is pushing 200k miles. Where are you at on the miles?

So just to get this right you had them originally make you a flat wall for the rear? Or you just completely removed whatever doors or hatch they installed and put up your own wall and door?

thanks. i will definitely invest in that no matter which heater I am running. I actually have 3 CO detectors in there, one of them is small and handheld. All 3 have a digital readout that are supposed to show the ppm starting at zero. They've always showed zero in the camper but I suppose I...

I've seen a handful of posts like this. For sure I get your concern. Not looking to change minds, just showing a mounting solution for those who have done their own extensive research and deemed the Wave heaters safe to use.

I'm testing out the Wave catalytic 6 heater in my camper after seeing plenty of recommendations from people in this group and other camping groups. I didn't want a permanent install, so I found these heavy duty S hooks that will allow me to hang the heater. Feels super stable and strong. Sets up...

Ended up installing my flexible solar panel about 8 months ago with a method that was recommended to me by an offroad shop. the guy has done this for years with no issues from customers. dual lock heavy duty velcro and RV tape. I know mounting solid panels to a roof rack is the best method for...

I'm seriously considering going with the wave 3 heater for occasional use in parking lots and to warm things up when camping. The diesel heater was just too bulky and cumbersome, also not ideal in parking lots at work or wherever we're hanging out. People that haven't used it say they create too...
