Thanks!
Right now it's a lot of head scratching and banging.....
Today's discussion with the family is relocating somewhere else. If that is a viable option then something like importing a 4Runner will be easy as it just means taxes
It would make overlanding trips easier too in terms of 4x4...
As for Lexus.... it's a joke and makes me wana cry 😭
That's as "off-road" as you are gona get!!
I drove an NX and was crap, I also had the chance to drive a CT which was even worse! - small engines that are waaaaay under powered and the hybrid system is just awful....
Again way spec'ed...
It is regional!!!
put Tax on at 40% then the GBP to USD exchange rate: 50,000 x 1.4 x 1.2 and you get around $84000 USD - that's FROM: price
No Taco over here but Hilux in 2.4 or 2.8 Diesel (Blaaa yuk!!!)
That's around $50k USD....
I'm basing this on an old exchange rate of 1.2 - no...
Everyone's different.... :-)
Sure there are plenty of people who would rather have X or Y manufacturer and that's why they're all out there..... I really became excited by the 4-Runner so that's why I made this thread.
I remember my folks had a Ford back in the late 1980s - it was a Fiesta...
I actually have a Lexus IS250... UK spec. That means 2.5 liter engine is largest size and all the stuff normally found in US and JP spec vehicles are gone such as the safety features like Lane Assist and Blind Spot monitoring etc.... no, we don't even get the button on the rear view mirror to...
Interesting!
I'm seeing many "first drive" videos as the cars are coming out and it looks really good - of course without individually driving it, you are relying on 2nd hand information basically.
The Ford Ranger ironically is sold locally so I wouldn't need to import that, but it's about...
Looks like first drives of the new Gen6 are starting to air:
from the Expedition Overland team :-)
They even got some "air time" in the TRD Pro.... love the mud color but would still opt for a Trailhunter ;-)
I guess I'd like to go from things like this (captured on mixture of Nikon D500 and Pentax K1 mkII), but in video form of course....:

Hi everyone,
I posted my recent trip to Scotland recently where you can take a look at some of the photos and videos from that... it was the first time ever doing anything videography based for me and I had a blast!
Right now I'm researching what a good main camera is going to be for me...
Ah the Hilux!!!
Below is a really cool one!! <3
I'm not sure about Diesel engine? :-( I have driven a few diesels and hated them all.... just like the Lexus hybrids as well in terms of CT and NX... I did not even feel safe in the CT as it just wouldn't go.... great for my anxiety :rolleyes...
I think about the only things that are available are under spec'ed pickups, LandRovers and Landcruisers.... I really dislike them all!!
Dacia Dusters seem to be popular too.... something I would never even consider...
So difficult :-(
I think the most difficulty I'm having is my ASD.... I...
Unfortunately not! :-( - I think it's US and Canada only....
My thought though was to import.
For me the biggest thing is that I don't like anything on offer locally so I'd end up having to import from the US or Japan anyway.
It is difficult for me because I am currently researching a...
So, gona pop this up:
I have seriously fallen in love with this thing!!
Being in a difficult location for 4x4's and Overlanding as my country doesn't have much space or natural land, or even public land. I stumbled across the new Gen6 2025 4Runner and decided to check it out.
There are...
Hi everyone, this is my first post. So I thought I'd introduce myself.
I had an invite last year to join a close friend who is a professional photographer up in Scotland. Prior to the invitation I started watching various 'overlanding' based Youtube channels and really enjoyed them. Probably my...
