Haven't had time to finish updating, but some of the other members of the trip have started sharing their pics. Here is one of my favourites so far.

Day Two took us up an unknown trail for everyone in the group. It started off a nice, the trees were a little tight but not to hard on the paint. The Tundra in the group managed to slice the sidewall out of his tire not to far into the trail. So a little Nascar pit change and we were back on our...
We would not need to air up again for 3 days.
Being eager to see what trails we were going to explore, I jumped in line behind Addison and his beautiful 4th gen 4runner. A few minutes of high speed gravel road driving and we were pulled over again waiting for the group. After regrouping, and...
The trip I was part of this year was called Colossal. The original plan was to meet up in Nelson BC Friday morning and explore the West Kootenay's for 5 days. The lead was planning to re run most of the trails to make sure each day was best utilized. Seemed like a pretty straight forward plan...
Got back to a busy week. No time yet for my trip report but I will give you a few teaser shots. Hopefully soon I will have some more pics of my truck, from some of the other cameras that were there.

Thanks for the info. Morrison apparently got a lot of snow the last few days so it is out, and the local Off Highway Vehicle ban was just lifted, so the original plan is happening now. As for that tight switchback, watching videos I wonder if backing up it would be better?
Sorry for the delayed response, missed this. I used 2 1/4" clamps.
Decided to change the transfer case oil, as per the extreme duty intervals in the owners manual. Many told me not to bother. Wow, it was dirty and quite low. When I talked to the Nissan tech after he said that is normal if 4wd...
I was torn between the AT or MT, then when I found these tires for cheap I had to jump. Turns out they have a tread life warranty. Not sure if any other MT's have that. As for the pressures I haven't around yet. Yesterday was the first day with them on. I think I will chalk test them when...
I agree about the clothing. I have started cutting way back on that, and pack more merino wool items so they can be worn more often.
Trip looked great.
Yesterday I went out fishing and cut the stock tires for the last time. Today I bought some new meats

I ended up going with 285 75 16 Procomp MT2. The increased clearance offroad was more noticeable then I thought it would, and the traction is...
I did see that. The height difference is only half when it comes to adding ground clearance. But yes more can better, just trying to figure out how much, and how often.
Thanks for the review on the tire. Right now I am leaning into the two wheels and tires camp.
Has anyone run 255 85 16's or or 285 75 16's then gone back to 265 75 16 and regretted it, or noticed a difference? We are talking about .5" difference in ground clearance. Is that really anything?
I am so torn right now about tires. The stock Hankooks are wearing down at 43k km. Actually at the wear bars on three of the 5 tires. So now I have to choose a new tire.
I am torn between going to a set off 255 86 16 in the Maxxis Bighorn or the ******** Cepeck Extreme country. Then putting on the...
Function always seems to lead to cool.
I modified the feet on my SkyRise to fit the Whispbars I mounted on the canopy. Took it out today for a shake down, as well as to take some photos for a magazine. I was asked to write an article about overlanding.
