Building A Defender 90 Into An Expedition Truck

Incredible work! Thanks for providing my morning "fix" :) Looks like it can fly too with that awning :) Personally, I would have kept the cat on, maybe found a better flowing one with similar "cleaning" - "tread lightly"... save the planet...

    IIDTool help!!!

You may want to contact GAP Diagnostics and explain calmly to them what steps you went through and perhaps they can help you. I had no problem setting up a couple of different off-road ride heights on an LR4 (+1" and +2") that I can switch between (along with stock ride height). I have used it...

    LR3 Seats stopped working!

If you had things apart in the tunnel or other area, and your problems started right after that, then I would look there. You might have switched two connectors or something like that - not sure about LR but I have seen it, and done it on other makes... Takes some time to find, but it happens...

    OBA for LR4

The module inside the "secondary" battery box on the LR4 is the TCM module that they relocated (compared to the LR3). People who install secondary batteries in the LR4 usually take it out of the plastic casing and move it to a slightly different location but still inside the secondary battery...

    Compos with 285/60/18 for LR4?

Having about 35k miles on my LR4 with 18” compos I wish I had explored grinding just a tad of the “ear-protrusions” of the calipers. The fit is real tight, mms, and although clearing statically, it looks like with flexing under load there is a chance of (minimal) contact - I see some marks on...

    Project Victory_Overland 08 LR3 Build Thread!

Makes you wonder why Land Rover upped the brakes on the LR4 (at least the NA V8), compared to the LR3... Personally, as a matter of safety, I would not decrease brakes from standard on a vehicle, particular given all the extra weight that is added on these overland rigs. My guess is that in...

    The Evolution of the Defender

Is this "your" car: https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/d/1993-land-rover-defender-110/6553938122.html ? Do you sell cars with DOT and CARB certification and documentation for registration in CA?

    Frontrunner swing away

Note that there is almost zero space on top: When you open the lower part of the tail gate there is maybe 1/2" clearance to the stepping pad on the rear bumper...

    LR4 multi purpose duty

I have been searching for a press fit weather strip that fits the slots of the OEM rack. Primarily, I was looking to use it to cover the opening in the upper rail (in which I ran wiring). Essentially, a weather strip matching what Land Rover used on the rear upper cross member. Initially, I...

Hey treckin, I noted this member saying he has retrofitted rear locker to his LR4: https://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/help-building-lr4-and-locating-hd-package.193263/#post-2470727 Though, not sure if it is the factory locker or an aftermarket...

Gap DII tool and changing Speed Values???

So, on the LR4 it is different! Changing the parameter “Tyre Size MSB - IPC” is the ticket, NOT the “Tyre Rolling Radius - ABS”! For my 275/65-18 tires a value of 30 gets the speedo bang on.

    LR4 multi purpose duty

On a separate note. I have been chasing a solution to get speedo to show correctly with the oversized tires (instead of 7-10% too low) by using the iidtool to change the CFF. However, the parameters GAP says work for the LR3 and says to use, does not work on my LR4. After much back and forth...

    LR4 multi purpose duty

Wheel position is great. Clearing parking sensors from beeping is marginal. If I don’t tug the wheel cover on real tight and smooth it can occasionally trigger the warning sound when backing up. I suspect getting it a tad higher will help that, but of course, view out the back may be slightly...
