Well, I see what you are talking about on the Yakima towers. An engineer buddy didn't like the fact that the tent was sitting on top of those projections, then pinched down in the middle. I ended up using 1" PVC sch40. I had to slice the pipe lengthwise, then use a heat gun to get it to slip...

This mount rocks. It's the mount Garmin should have made for the 64-series GPS units. I just spent four days with the SE+ on my windshield and it worked flawless.

My Delorme SE did not come with a mount. I did purchase a powered RAM mount for it. A powered mount is available from Garmin for the SE+, though I wish they used a 12V plug instead of the USB.

Uh, folks, I'm a little late here. Not a big deal since I own an older Delorme SE (and love it). But, price at Costco is $229.99. It's $349.95 at GPS City. Damn, now I want to upgrade. Order up folks!
