The 9-speed in my '21 XD has always been smooth.
What bugged me was the accelerator lag, with my Pedal Commander set on 'City/0" that has been completely eliminated.
I prefer the 9-speed in the XD to my 6-speed Allison in my last GMC HD. While towing our travel trailer the the downshifting...
My payload is 1,708 lbs, but a Platinum Reserve is loaded with options, you're not going to find any 1/2-ton 6.5' bed 4x4 with all the options that's on my truck with a payload anywhere close. You can get a higher payload with a HDPP, but the highest trim level is XLT with a mid range package...
Yeah I stayed with the factory size (265/60R20) because I have to stay in an E-rating for towing our travel trailer. The next size up would've rubbed without a lift or cutting, which I'm not ready to do at this point, have to keep it towing friendly.
I've started doing some simple stuff to my 2021 Titan XD Platinum Reserve.
Just had Falken Wildpeak A/T3W's installed today and finished my hybrid Yakima Overhaul HD bed rack project this week. I fabricated some aluminum extrusion to make a lower level rack to haul our solar suitcase or Thule...
"Advertised" payloads are pretty much useless.
Hop on over to the Tundra forum and you'll find that there hasn't been one truck in all the different configurations that has exceeded 1,500 lb payload, most of them have been 1,310-1,400 lbs.....
There's also things like depth of discharge, charge rate, maintenance, mounting options and physical weight that play into why I will never own another LA battery in any of our trailers.
This crimper will work fine for your application and on the plus side you will have it for future use, and there will be future use. I've made well over 50 crimps from 6AWG - 1/0 and it's worked flawlessly. I have a set of Powerwerx crimpers for my 150A Andersen plugs, but for wire lugs the...
We're running then ARP Fridge Defend system as well, with dual outdoor fans and I've also added three fans inside, plus put the door sill heater on a switch to be able to turn it off while dry camping.
I added insulation inside that cabinet, but if it's really cold I will open the cabinet door.
I've considered routing a few slot vents in the cabinet door.
The only time we use the buddy heater is if it's really cold and we're camping without hook-ups. And even then we only run it in the...
Ours seems to cool down quicker on propane, but does fine on 120VAC as well. On AC in 95F temps it will pull down from ambient to 30F in about four hours if empty.
I've considered throwing the Engel in the truck bed as a back-up / outdoor beverage refrigerator.
