My Experience with Robert (Bobby) Culpepper and Cascadia Vehicle Tents (CVT)

Well said ^. I can tell you one thing for sure, if I ever decide to purchase a trailer, tent or anything else it definitely won't be from CVT. This is not based on other people's experiences as much as the vendor's responses.

My 04' Tundra Mistress - Keep my LX or Build the Tundy

If you do the bed bob right I doubt most people with an untrained eye would even notice it, same with the firewall work :ylsmoke:

My 04' Tundra Mistress - Keep my LX or Build the Tundy

If he builds it like he is planning to I think he could run the Rubicon OK. But it will take some good driving skill and body armor to make it through it in one piece. This is based on having a rear locker, heavy duty front axles, bobbed bed, and other major mods as described.

My 04' Tundra Mistress - Keep my LX or Build the Tundy

Love the LX, no way I'd be ditching that one for a Tundra :ylsmoke:

Box Rocket '03 DC Tacoma Build

This ^ :sombrero: I never had any issue with it at all. Plus the air box has plenty of room for trapping any debris if it did happen to get in there.

Box Rocket '03 DC Tacoma Build

If it were mine I'd lose the cap. Serves no real purpose, other than an air restriction IMO. 1st Gen Tundra, intake's on the passenger side behind the fender. Using a torch to flatten out some 3" Sch. 40 PVC pipe on the end, the intake can be raised to a point as high as the dash -

    Rubicon with a tundra?

Easy :sombrero: Seriously - Winch, sliders, skids and a rear locker would be nice. Sliders and some really good driving maybe, but I'd expect body damage. Front CV's would be getting a workout as well. I'm assuming 1st Gen Tundra, if it's a 2nd Gen, then no way. I wouldn't really recommend...

Box Rocket '03 DC Tacoma Build

I like the look of the fenders....but if you don't fix that passenger side marker light my OCD is going to cause me to have a stroke :sombrero:

    Best 'Aggressive AT' Tires?

I'm talking realistic expectations and experiences, not test data. If you base all your vehicle decisions on RTI ramps and wet skid pads then I would agree. Bottom line is "seriously struggle" is a misleading statement and not accurate in my opinion, and I'll stand by that statement based on...

    Best 'Aggressive AT' Tires?

My point, I've ran traditional and the two mentioned above, they do not struggle one bit on wet pavement on any of our vehicles, as a matter of fact, they do as good as, if not better than any of the traditional A/T's I've ran under any road conditions I've been exposed to. I'm talking under...

    Best 'Aggressive AT' Tires?

I currently have both and find that blanket statement quite a stretch. "Struggle" - as compared to what? I've ran just about every major brand of A/T and M/T out there on multiple vehicles over the past 25 years, I personally haven't experienced the Duratracs or S/T Maxx "struggle" at...

    Best 'Aggressive AT' Tires?

My Duratracs did really well for the first 25k miles of so, then they started getting loud and started losing traction in the rain. The tread was wearing good though and they were rotated every 4k miles. By around 40k miles you could hear me coming down the road a mile off, not really sure why...

    Best 'Aggressive AT' Tires?

Durability/side wall construction, how well they have worked in muddy conditions, how quiet they are on the road, little weight required to balance, perform good in the rain and on the asphalt in general. I'll probably find something I don't like about them sooner or later, but haven't yet. I...

    Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx

Just did my first rotation @ 5k miles. Still loving these tires, best all-around tires I've ever ran on any of my vehicles :ylsmoke:.

    Strengthening 1st generation Tacoma frame

I haven't seen it in person, but I would guess between the cab and bed near the top of the bed, if I were to take a guess. I added CBI weld-on frame plates to the back, added a small cross member for the Budbuilt skid, sliders and plated the front of the frame rails for my hidden winch install...

Trail gear vs All Pro front/rear bumpers and sliders.

I wanna get in on the arguing.....so I say CBI has a better slider design than both the others :p

    Thoughts on Off Road Bumpers?

There are ways to mount a winch and retain the factory front bumper, and be confident that the winch mount is way more secure than any aftermarket, bolt-on bumper out there can offer. But it takes a lot of time, effort and fabrication knowledge to achieve such. An aftermarket bolt-on bumper...
