In my opinion, 0.75" Spacers are the way to go. They will give you plenty of clearance to run whatever width tire you want without requiring a lot of modifications to your fender liners, fender flares, frame horns, and front bumper. Adding spacers increases the amount of travel forward and back...

I would put the LR4 facelift on it. It's gonna be about the same price for the front clip either way, might as well make it look a couple years newer.
Second the IID tool.
Yeah. I wish I had taken photos of the process but I was in the zone. Step 1 is to cut the white plastic part off of the apple adapter. I did it by using a file to cut the wide flat side of the adapter until you can see the grey plastic under the white. Here is an image where the person cut the...
Finally pulled the trigger on my ipad install.
instead of using the iPad cradle I bought a ruggedized case that had a similar asthetic to the rest of the LR3 interior so that I could leave the iPad in there permanently and not worry too much about it. I figure, as long as it looks similar to...
There's no where to suction one of those in the cubby. Plus your iPad would go flying the second you hit a bump with a magnet mount.
Leave the magnets and suction cups for your rental car.
That base i linked is actually to attach to the back of the iPad mini cradle. The mount I already have bolted in the cubby wont change. It is very solid, I'm not worried about it handling more weight.
I use this space for an iPhone 6 mount but I am thinking about upgrading it to an ipad mini to stay in the truck permanently. I bolted a 1" ram ball inside the cubby. I went straight threw the rubber mat. The holes I drilled in the mat are small enough that if I remove the mount you won't be...
Yep. Every time I get an oil change it seems like they they shear off another bolt from the engine skid plate. I'd do it myself if I actually had a garage to do it, but instead I have to trust local shops.
Why are you trying to change the height calibration manually? Is your truck not sitting level at the stock settings? You are supposed to base your re-calibration in the IID tool based on physical measurements from the center of the wheel to the top of the fender flare, not the values already...
Yep, gonna need some new TPMS sensors.
Also, either it was debadged at one point or something happened to the rear. The position and alignment of "LR3" and "V8 SE" are not factory.
Find out if either of them has had the compressor replaced. I believe you are still working with the ****ty Hitachi compressor in '05-'06. If neither have been replaced, keep at least $600 in your budget for a new AMK compressor to replace it. If one has, there is your winner.
The '06 @ 80K is...
I put the $200 ebay china special extended roof rails on my LR3. They look pretty good but they definitely have their downsides.
-The rubber gasket on the front edge was uneven. I ended up using a scissors to trim them smooth so that it would look ok. Not a big problem, but an extra step...
Does anyone know how to figure out the age of a TPMS sensor? I don't have a reader/scanner but was hoping I would be able to determine the date of manufacture based on some of the codes printed on the sensor itself. I've read that sensors have a lifespan of 8-10 years, and since these 315Mhz...
I'm having issues with my interstate now after only 2 years. HDC/Transmission/Suspension/ETC fault. I edited my previous recommendation. I think I'll be ordering a DEKA 9AGM94R or 9A94R soon once I can figure out which is better for the LR3.
