I think the LR3 parts would fit just fine on the LR4. Especially considering the painted fenders that came on the 2009 LR3 are the same part #s as the LR4 fenders.
The parts you will need are:
DGP000145PCL
DGP000155PCL
DFK000045PCL
DFK000055PCL
DFJ000022PCL
DFJ000032PCL

Just my 2 cents but please do not bedliner the exterior. Nothing makes a truck go from "cool trail rig" to "redneck contraption" faster than a rhinoliner exterior. I'd much rather see some scratches in the paint than texturized rubber. Plus that red is pretty rare in an SUV. Keep it. It's cool.
You'll need to air down that spare to get it into the stock location, but it will fit. I was able to fit 285/65/18s in the stock location. The trick i found was to rub some dish soap on the parts of the tire that will squeeze between the frame rails and the stock hitch connector. Use a jack to...
Yeah. The chrome strips along the doors and across the tailgate are just held on with some double sided 3M adhesive. You just be able to just peel them off. I would use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm them up before trying so that they come away cleanly and use some goo-gone to clean up any...
Good looking rover Kgh.
Just my two cents to complete the look:
- remove the chrome finisher strip along the bottom of the doors.
- paint the mirror caps flat black.
- paint the side intake grills and front grill surrounds to match the wheels. Paint the actual grill part black.
- sell the...
Wow. If you are going to go through all of those modifications, why not adapt some LR3 front brakes so that you can fit 18s? Should have plenty of power to stop it considering the LR3 is 700lbs heavier.
BUMP this back from the dead. If anyone in New England is looking to switch their 3rd row from their 7 seater for the lighter weight and added storage of a 5 seater I'm still looking to trade.
What if you get the stock A-frame brush bar and then put in a hidden winch so that the hawse is mounted on the large lower bar? Then you would have the best of both worlds since you will retain the stock look while not ruining the approach angle with the stock LR3 winch tray.
Do you have the Rods installed when you were testing this? I would expect if you have the air strut spacer kit installed without the rods and then try to go into access mode, it will "run out" of bag to deflate and make the truck think it's high centered.
I don't have them personally, but from the pictures in the install manual, it wouldn't be too difficult to cut and bend up a little tin to replace the factory mounting hardware:
VUB501380 L319 Rear Lamp Guards
Instead of taillight guards, since your truck is already going with the black on black look, maybe switching to some 2014MY taillights or some of these would look pretty cool:
Preface by saying I have no idea what kind of work it requires to make any of these work, but how about:
- A modern LR Jag 4.4 or 5.0 (maybe even 5.0 SC)
- A Ford 3.5L Ecoboost from the latest F150s and upcoming raptor
Second one of these threads in 2 days. I guess we're starting to hit fever pitch on the L322.
I guess someone is going to have to start fabbing up some sliders. Maybe steal the designs from the G4:
