    NPPower Batteries.

There are a surprising number of people that populate both boards. This will be going in my XJ for now, but this info will also be used in SanFord as well. He will probably be getting a couple of these and 400 watts of solar on the roof.

    NPPower Batteries.

It came in yesterday and so far looks pretty good. comptiger5000, I think you are correct. It has a AGM separator, but uses sulfuric acid as an electrolyte. They do make a Gel version of the same battery. It should still do what I need it to do. I'll just need to keep it upright.

    NPPower Batteries.

This won't be tied into a winch, it will only be tied into the fridge and lighting. Basically smaller, longer loads. That's a consideration though, I'll have to remember that for the future. At the moment I don't have a winch on this rig, and my Samurai, that has a winch, is too small to tote...

    NPPower Batteries.

Any thoughts on them? Has anyone tried one? The 12V 100Ah AGM is $179 on Amazon. I've ordered one to mount on my XJ to power the refrigerator so I guess I'll be seeing how well they work.

Standing Room Tents Family Cabin: It attaches to your 10' x 10' canopy

I have one as well. I'll second everything in the above post. It's gets the job done and being on the large side and 6'+, it's nice to be able to stand.

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

It's been a while, but to add another snow picture. This is in the Francis Marion NF in South Carolina, where it almost never snows. Fun Days.

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Front calipers, pads and rotors. Aluminum 3 core radiator, water pump, thermostat. I also serviced the transmission and changed the oil. I haven't owned it long enough to get it dirty, but that will be remedied in the near future. I needed to get deferred maintenance stuff out of the...

The 7 Hour Adventure. Slow Internet Warning! Many Pictures.

On to last weekend. Two years ago my eldest son and I climbed in the Jet Boat at the Hwy 52 landing on the Santee River and went in search of the last rock ledge and rapids on the river before it enters the Atlantic. If you go back a page or so, you will note that there was 3+ feet of water...

The 7 Hour Adventure. Slow Internet Warning! Many Pictures.

It's been almost two years since I posted to this. Life got busy and my priorities got a little screwed up. Time to pick this up again. Here is a quick picture dump of what has happened over the last couple of years. The Samurai got shorter. I still haven't gotten it stuck, but it drives much...

    Camper and Truck Photos

These are from our 3700 mile, 14 day, trip from South Carolina, around Lake Superior and back home.

    1988 Samurai Tin Top.

It's time to update this again. A few more changes have been made. The Hellas have been swapped for LEDs and all the winch relays and plug moved under the hood. It cleaned up the front end and helps the alternator keep up. I had the windows tinted. With no A/C, keeping things cool is...

    Lake Superior Circle Tour

We did a similar trip a couple of months ago. 3700 miles in total from South Carolina, around the lake and back. We spent a few days on my parents boat making the trip from Rossport to Thunder Bay. That is a beautiful lake. Beautiful and cold. Out in the lake, the water temp was 39-42 degrees...

Suzuki Owners; Let's see your ExPo Trucks

I'm going to post mine up again. It's been through some changes in the last month. Namely loosing 5" of lift and getting a smaller set of tires. Here is a before. SPOA, 33" tires. Go anywhere slowly, but a bear to drive at anything above 50mph. Here is the after. SPUA, 29" tires. Still go...

    1988 Samurai Tin Top.

Unfortunately, I can't. It was on there when I bought it and there are no identifying marks on it.

    1988 Samurai Tin Top.

I want to say it was a Belkin mount, but I can't find it on Amazon anymore. Since then the tablet GPS died and I'm using a Garmmin 2797 for street duty and a Garmin GPSmap 76CSx for in the woods and boating. The 2797 is mounted where the tablet was. I do still have BackCountry Navigator loaded...

    1988 Samurai Tin Top.

Well, I guess I still don't need the winch, though I better start planning on one of these. :snorkel: It's been unbelievably wet around here. While the northeast was getting snow, we've been getting rain. A lot of the forest is flooded. My son wisely wouldn't try this in his Explorer. He shot...
