zelatore - so I suspect the net of this is that the Die Hard 31 Plat may indeed fit in the aux location on the driver's side without the worry of height interference since the interference you encountered was in the primary location on the passenger side and jwest didn't have height issues with...
Jwest:
can you post some close up pictures of both your positive post (with the rubber cap off) and the negative post? it looks as though for the negative post that you removed the threaded stud and used a bolt down to reduce the height even further. is this also the case on the positive...
Can you post pictures of your install so we can compare against jwestpro's to see what the difference is?
I do see from Jwest's pictures that he installed his Ody with the negative post facing front and the positive toward the rear, which is opposite how you'd install say the Optima Yellow 34...
I have my ARB 50 running continuously in my garage off A/C when not in use in my LR3. At home its used as my beer fridge. Been running nearly continuously for nearly 3 years.
similar in that the hitch is raised to the same point. This one appears to be a bit stouter than the Mitchell Hitch when you look at the difference in the amount of steel material used.
It will actually allow for height adjusting hitches. Todd original pictures show the hitch with a european ball mount that bolts to a 2" piece of square tubing that then slides into the receiver.
the bolted ball mount is a European thing. The hitch accepts a normal ball mount and it was able to accept the one I used in the factory LR3 hitch. You can see my ball hitch in picture #5 I posted laying on the ground.
I'll measure the total distance inside the 2" receiver when I get home...
Todd is in the process of getting the hitch tested for a Class IV hitch classification. I believe the testing has completed without issue, but will need Todd to verify. With the Class IV rating it means the hitch will have a maximum tongue weight of 1000 lbs and trailer weight carrying up to...
I can vouch the hitch unseenone (Todd) has posted pictures of above as he sent me one of the pre-production prototypes for testing. The quality of the hitch is top notch. Very nice even welds and the hitch itself is very stout and very heavy. I don't know if its galvanized prior to powder...
For the not so rare flame outs, you need to add a wind blocker to the air opening in the burner. Works like a charm...see post 17 in the link below:

It'll be interesting to see how the ARB locker compares to the factory HD locker out on the trails. Keep us posted.
The added benefit of the factory HD locker is that it enables itself automatically only when needed (stupid simple) so it keeps the added stress of the locker on the diff to a...
I have for sale a lightly used Napier Sportz 84000 SUV Tent. This tent's main room is 10'x10' and can sleep up to 6 people. It also has an additional Screen Room that is an addition 7'x6'. This screen room is removable so the tent can be set up with or without it. Finally there is the tent SUV...
I have one and will actually be down in SLO weekend of April 18th. I'm located up in the San Jose area. PM me if interested. Here is the for sale ad link I just posted...
