It's in great shape only used a handful of times. It's a really good rack and I'm only selling it because Baja Rack is replacing it due to a ding/dent the rack received in shipping. I'll get photos of the damage up asap. I do still have the box & will ship at your expense. $700 or $800 installed...
I carry the High-Lift Handle all in the Landy all the time - either "locked" under the back seats or in a Pelican case. I LOVE it. Yes, the three piece design is a bit cumbersome & you *really* should wear some good gloves while using it, actually, I use rubber/kevlar plumbers gloves to help...
I have a really nice reinforcement plate for the Tacoma if anyone is interested, I was paranoid the tailgate would buckle with bikes in the back... anyway, it worked very well while I had the truck. Pm me.
I have the Brunton Heilos among others. It looks like the Cabellas is a copy or re-branded... FWIW, I've been happy with it & never had any trouble with it.
I think it's a good plan to have at least three fire starting devices - for me it's a magnesium stick, a gas lighter (the Brunton), and a...
Same exact scenario here, except I keep it just above freezing. I need to get a second dedicated battery installed - I don't like stressing the main battery like that.
If you believe the automotive media, it has been more successful than Ford planned, I read somewhere that they actually built more 5.4's than they planned to meet demand prior to releasing the 6.2. I've also heard positive things from people close to Ford ("insiders" if you will) as well.
I'd love to see that as well! Unfortunately, the original won't be done (as cool as it would be!) in part due to safety regs. The Ford GT Supercar project was scrapped due to a 2007 safety requirement that had to do with inadequate protection for an adult that was something like over 180lb &...
After clicking the link the OP provided, I see the clip/pin has been upgraded form the unit I've got. It still doesn't look like it will hold up long term though. The easy solution would be to carry some spare pins.
I had the same thought but after using the axe attachment for the first time last week I have to say it was not an issue. I was a bit worried about the thing slipping out of my hands- it was raining. So I used my "muck" (plummer) gloves & it was just fine.
One very small issue I encountered...
Three kids here, 10, 5, & 2.
They have dual TV's in moms ride that they watch surprisingly little on a regular basis. It's mostly the 2yr old that wants to watch. They don't use the headphones either... no idea why.
When on a camping trip were in my ride that has no TV's, but the kids have...
Why wouldn't you carry a firearm? I carry lots of stuff I haven't needed to use, like a Phillips screwdriver for example. Crazy huh? I can't remember the last time I've needed a Phillips screwdriver while camping.
I bet when the day comes that I need that screwdriver I'll be glad I have it.
I've been a Bronco for a long time & always planned to build one up. Take a look at race-dezert.com for more ideas on your build - and of course keep us posted on your progress!
