Thanks for the input guys. I was actually trying to use the factory brackets to mount some LED lights. Mine were trusted but I was able to make them work anyway.

I was just wondering if anyone Wyeth a gen 2.5 is looking to unload a set of fog lights. I know some of you out there have gotten rid of your stock bumpers and fogs. I figured I'd ask before I hit up eBay. I don't have a pick and pull around me that has any Monteros either so that's unfortunate.

Add the front brake pads and rotors to that list too since those have to be removed to get to those other parts. Another typical place that has rust that I've noticed is the rocker panel. Get under the car and check the frame for rust too

I know the 3.5 has an inspection cover on the passenger's side cam gear cover. The 3.8 might have one too. Just like all belts see if it's cracked or worn like you said.
