I had creaking and then it just kind went away. I treated them with fluid film and "seated" them by driving hard. When you go with aftermarket parts you sometimes have torque spec miscompares; I think the U-bolt issue I had last year... uh I mean 2023, was because stock u-bolts are a lower...
The 6.2 is just such a good engine; In the Raptor its just barely tuned up to give a bit of performance but its heritage is in work trucks which can be abused, have insane mileage and idle hours put on them. And I know I have taken care of my truck far better than some F250 fleet truck with a...
I have the 6.2, the first gen are aging like fine wine. They're retaining value quite nicely, even if thats not the point at all. RPG makes a nice kit as well and definitely thought about going that route, but would have wanted to bring my truck to them specifically. The current generation is...
Once I went all in on the new suspension and knew I wasn't going with "thru bed" rear shocks that needed to use that space I ended up going with this. It is already what I had set up but cleans the bed up a bit and adds room for a jack that actually fits my truck. Also without the rack...
They're a small enough shop but they've been gaining traction in the past year or so. They're also the shop who I partnered with to make the bed stiffener that integrates the rack support.
Heres the direct links to what I installed...
It happens! Its funny because the shop like 90% of their "bad tires" are usually just a wheel weight that gets thrown off within the first 100 miles or so, so to get an actually bad tire they were pretty excited!
55 to 75 should be a balance issue, but like... you know thats not the case!
Yeah I think its name recognition. I read a lot of good things about the KM3 so I had no reason to believe they were problematic, but after having this pop up I realize a bunch of people have had issues.
All that being said, 1 tire ended up being warrantied. They had another on hand and I drove...
Talked with BFG, they asked me to go back to the original place of purchase for an inspection (they also said any authorized dealer should work if that wasn't an option), so I called the shop and they got on the schedule for Wednesday. Talked with the shop that did the second batch of balancing...
Okay, really loving the setup so far, but I think one of the tires is super out of round. Had some planned maintenance done and told the shop about how I thought I might of thrown a balancing weight so they took a look and first time around on the road force balancer it was 58 lbs, then they...
