I have a Class C RV a Born Free 22. I have a dual chuck inflator but still have trouble getting air into the outside tire of the dually. With a 45 degree angle reverse chuck i can barely get air into one side and only by cranking on the stem can I get air into the other side. I am afraid of...
I have a long bed extended cab and it gets me where I need to go. But my camper shell sleeping setup does not work for my 50+ back. So bought an 22' RV it is only 6" longer than my truck. If I were to do it over, I would likely get a Project M and build in cabinets that could be removable for...
I doubt it. A truck camper does not even require registration. The truck is the vehicle, a truck camper is just something strapped onto it. Your only requirement is tto ensure the Gross Weight is under the Trucks max. Even then I doubt you would get a ticket but if you get in an accident I...
Some I look at say for paved areas only. Just want to make whatever I get could handle snow on a dirt road, and maybe mud if needed in a pinch. I would not be using chains to push the capabilities if this RV the clearance is terrible on it.
I need some chains for my Born Free 22 footer. If it snows much the weekend after Thanksgiving I might not be able to get home without them. I read about using chains in an off-road situation.
What type of chains should I look for?
Tires are LT225/75R16s.
My Noco's have done fine by me. I have a 1 amp 7 and 10 amp Nocos. I have never had a problem keeping the Lithium batteries topped off. Between all my vehicles I have over a dozen batteries to keep charged throughout the year and have the plugs on the batteries so i can move the battery from...
I am not sure I explained myself concept well.
What I would love to see is a wedge style camper be 24-30" higher, looking just like the popups, until it wedges up vs popping up. The area over the cab would then have storage space even when collapsed. Instead of the wedge coming from a narrow...
Why can't a wedge have a cabover feature? I saw a prototype of a wedge built locally and as much as I liked the idea, but think if the area had 24-30" permanently there it would allow the extra leaf to be stored and bedding to be stored in that area. then make the sleeping area more flexible.
Have you contacted Decked? If someone builds custom kitchens for their product they should know or at the least should know which parts might fit into their product so you could design your own and maybe hire someone to fabricate it for you.
You might have lunch also searching for "Decked" on...
First pic is my backyard.
The second pic is on the commute to my boat. I figure I am always in Bear Country and at times I am likely closer to a Grizzly than another human.
Where in Canada do you live?
I have gotten into riding motorcycles in the backcountry and spend time alone in heavy Grizzly country. I am hoping the sound of my bike keeps them aware of my impending arrival. Since I am old and new at riding the thought of carrying a huge cannon on my chest...
What do you carry in Griz Country? I am afraid my 9mm would just piss them off even more than just being born Grizzly. I live in Griz Country and saw signs on recent adventures. I keep my bear spray handy.
I am not sure if you got a great deal or were ripped off. Either way Looks like a lot of work ahead of you.
Not sure how they were built but knowing a little bit about cantilevered wood.... I would guess the wood goes the entire length or a large part of it. You need to have it secured far...
I too struggle with this conundrum, growing up in an NRA home loaded for bear, then losing all the guns in a fire at around 20 years old. I somehow managed to live in scary cities and be in scary neighborhoods, yet survive being unarmed. I am now again in my 50s a gun owner and a CCW owner...
All those jump starters are sketchy. When they work they are great, but their reliability and long term life are suspect. I have that same charger and can state it works flawlessly for me. I could say the same thing for my Antigravity x-10 or something like that up till about a year ago when...
Just to clarify this is not the plan here to "build our own lithium battery pack". Every bike battery pack is commercially made. Any battery we will be using to store the power during the day till the bike batteries can get charged will be a commercially made battery.
Have you seen a DIY...
I am still learning the bike part of this. This shop has a retail component but is mostly in the bike rental business. Except for the new cargo bikes they are electrifying they have high end bikes with either Shimano or Bosch batteries. I am having them reach out to the manufacturers or...
This is not for public (renter) use this is for use in their shop only. I think you are right though it may require an inverter. When I went in to show my friends my home build solar charger I was explaining the components. I was explaining how the solar power goes from the Solar Panel to the...
