Tough to do well on a sale when it has an issue like this. Undiagnosed mechanical issue with cosmetics a bit of a mess because I’m mid-interior swap. Happily trade for someone’s Series project.
Latest and greatest of mine... This is where it lives now. EFI issues have kept it off the road since July 4th. Runs great when cold. Once it gets warm it wants to stall when stopped in gear. No codes, and sick of throwing parts at it, so here it sits.
I did saw the roof with a...
I'm 6 months into daily driving my '91 RRC, which shares a lot with the D1, and I love it. The only times it's left me stranded were TPS/IAC problems resulting in idle issues, and a faulty inertia switch killing power to the fuel pump. The TPS/IAC issue was minor, and protecting a chafed wire...
Picked up a '93 LWB that will donate a bunch of interior and exterior parts to my '91 SWB. Still on the fence about keeping my ARB front or swapping over the stock front bumper.
I have a parts RRC... I feel like I'm officially a Rover owner now!
After 16 (yes, 16) Jeeps, I finally made the switch. Picked this up about 3 weeks ago.
1991 RRC with 116k miles. Came from CO, so pretty clean. I don't think there are more than one or two straight panels on the thing, but it's a solid place to start.
I had the 3.5" AEV lift on one of my JKUs and loved it. Ride, handling and off road all saw significant improvements. I believe the only thing you need to change with the 3.5" for 37's is to use the 4.5" kit bump stop extensions in the rear. It's a pretty common configuration and the parts...
Wow, Jeff. Even by the high standards your previous work has created, this looks incredible. I wish really wish this was available. It'd look amazing in gloss black on my Willys!
Great work Jeff. It's amazing how much better the proportions are on this versus the stock JK grill. All I can see when I look at my Jeep is the awkward area at the top of the grill where the Jeep logo is, and how 'right' it looks with with the taller slots on your mold master.
My favorite is the clear lens ones off the earthly CJ-5's. Having trouble finding an example I can hot link to, but they're similar the to the CJ-2/3 but with a clear lens and orange bulb.
Looks great Jeff. The proportions look perfect. Can't wait to see the finished product.
My personal choice for my JK would be to keep the directionals in the stock location, which is a change from the preference I had a few months back. I've since added an AEV front bumper, and they made a...
I was going to suggest that with the market lights once I saw the first post... Then I scrolled down. I've never liked the factory locations either. Good call. I'd even consider a little inboard of headlight centerline.
It's hard for me to say until is the JL in person. A benefit I see to the bend is breaking up the big flat slab that is the JK grill. I didn't hate it in the YJ or TJ, but it's hard to tell if it would help or hinder on the JK since the scale is so different. I like the idea of the other changes...
I agree the taller slats are a big improvement, but don't underestimate the impact of the headlight protruding into the outer slats. I think the nod to the CJ with that detail is worth keeping as well. For that to work on the JK grill, I'm assuming the slats will get wider as well as taller to...
Did you see this at SEMA? Looks pretty great, though I could do without the fender vents. Price doesn't seem unreasonable considering what it includes...
