Good morning Land Rover people. I am looking at an LR4 as a travel vehicle. there are a few around semi locally, that are a great price. I love the look, quality of the interior and size of the rig. What is the reliability like with these 3/4? You know the rumors that Land Rovers are...
The ram's can't carry ********. Hell, the TRX has a lower payload than a maverick. I constantly see ram's around here with a small load of lumber in them or a double snowmobile trailer on and they are pooched. Our F150, same approx. load and it probably squats and inch. Coil springs in the ram...
I have a 2017 F150 XLT FX4 package right now and it's the best truck I have ever owned. Great on gas (5.0) no turbo garbage, lots of interior space, super comfortable and overall a great buy! I do small construction jobs like building sheds, decks and stuff and the truck serves me well! Highly...
Icon all the way. They make superior products. I am looking at getting the Icon system for our F150. Looking to get a couple of inches of height and vastly improved off road performance.
I watched the video on youtube done by driving sports. They took a TRD pro and a maverick FX4 into the back country to compare the two. The trd only has an extra inch of ground clearance to the regular FX4, so, the tremor has the same ground clearance at 9.4" than the TRD pro. The TRD did miles...
I would throw in a suburban for a family hauler as well. LOTS of space, decent on gas as well from the z71 I owned, comfortable (size), and capable off pavement. I would love to own another z71.
We are very interested in adding an outback to the stable. I would like to hear what people think about the wilderness with the turbo vs the base model without turbo? I know interior features will be lessened with the base model, but we are trying to figure out if the extra 10g is worth it...
Everytime we turn around this past two years, some crap happens and we cannot get out to explore. I wish it weren't true. I started a new job that required me to be around most of the time, and therefore extended travel was not in the cards. Again, the camper is still sitting idle inside the...
Update on our little rig, we have the tires and 3/4 of the suspension bits on. The lift is finally going on this week coming up. Can't wait. My shocks are getting weak now and clunking. Time for the lift and rest of the stuff to be on our pat now.
We have the exact opposite experience with the AT3W on both my Patriot and on my friends LJ. His jeep trucks through muddy conditions without issue. I have seen way to many duratracs with side wall blow outs to even put them on my wheelbarrow. I did notice one of my wheels had way more weight...
I installed the AT3W XL load range on our patriot. They are an awesome tire for lightweight rigs. They are like 3 lbs lighter than the Kumho AT51s I removed. I have about 1000kms on them so far and they are great on road. I am sure they will be fine in the back country too.
I am purchasing my fathers 150 off him soon. We are building it to run a slide in camper, and go off grid. I am going to try get a spare tire mount, gas mount put on the back of the camper so we can have some extra gas to power the camper with a generator. I am not sure if the camper has the...
Update on the ole patriot. I ordered the rough country 2" lift with complete coil/struts for front and rear. I was going to replace it all anyways, so it's all coming as a package now. I also have new LCA as the bushings are toast in mine, and new UCA for the rear with adjustability and ditching...
