It's sad to say that I forgot I made this video... It really hasn't been that long ago.
It wasn't until I was talking with someone on here about the Alcan 5000 today that I remembered this video exists...
A few years ago, only days after I graduated high school (June of 2009), I caught a plane...
Wow! That sounds like an awesome rally. If I can find something like that in the east I will be super excited! And I can understand the motion sickness.. haha! Yeah I hope to do the Alcan also! I told my co-driver two years ago that was my plan. Back then I drove a borrowed Chevy Astro van...
Dodge Raider... nice, you don't see many of those around anymore. Yeah we didn't do very well in the morning, but by the afternoon stages I say we were close to zeroing a few!
Hey Guys,
I've been a member of Expdition Portal for a while but never really post anything...
I own a 92 Toyota Pickup, which I rebuilt in high school. I use is for everything from hauling dirtbikes and climbing small rock trails to long highway trips monthly from Maine to PA. Last month we...
This is my 92 Toyota Pickup... which I use as a dd, expedition traveler, offroader, rally service vehicle, and temporary hotel...
Some day I'm hoping for a solid axle swap and a few little extras here and there. And then not using it as a daily.

Tried to read all the posts, and I didn't notice anyone mention the possiblity of a Ford Ranger camper shell. Back in the 80's there was a single cab ranger with a 7' bed. I have a fiberglass shell off of an 87 Ranger if you're interested and it fits. I guess the width is the only issue. I'm...
Thanks so much guys... I love this forum for people like you willing to help all the time! Anyway, yeah it is the stock Asin hub, so I guess when I get back home I'll open it up and give it a good cleaning. I'll post something else if I need the part numbers or whatever, but I think I can...
Hey Guys,
Hoping someone may know something about this problem. I have a 92 Pickup. The other day I found that my passenger side lock-in hub wouldn't turn. It seemed frozen in the "free" position. With a lot of effort I got it to turn, but as I turned the other one and got in to drive off...
I have a 01 Tacoma with 300K on it at home! Original everything. There trucks been beat one pretty bad, from harsh New England winters to towing lawn trailers.
Thanks for the info guys! Looks like I'll stay stock for now. I got 200,000+ on a single clutch... But it was driven mostly highway miles with that, until about a year ago. Also, thanks for the info on the gearing. I was only planning for a small lift and maybe 31 or 32 inch tires. Should...
So, it's that time in my trucks life to get a new clutch put in. I've been looking around at the different options and figured I ask everyone... What should I put in? The truck is a 1992 Pickup 22RE 5pd 4wd.... It's mostly stock right now, but plans are in place for custon bumpers, a lift...
Almost bought the same type truck in May... color, engine, x-cab, etc... Great truck... I decided against the buy, because I didn't need the V-6... but it's good to have. I second the checking the head gaskets. Good luck with it!
It a scam for sure.... there was a toyota double cab posted like this on Craigslist for $3500 last year in the New York area. Looks like they're doing the same thing... I'd take the other guys advice..... and run.
I you haven't already, make sure you go see it soon and take someone with you. Regardless if that person knows anything about cars or not, they could see something you don't or missed. It's hard to find a well taken care of 80's or 90's toyota pickup for under 3000... let alone an 03? Sounds...
