I got rid of the “triangle tires” and put on a set of BFG K02’s(load range E). I have K02’s on my truck(great tires). With the front water tank filled, rear tire removed and stock shocks I have run up to 80 mph without any sway or issues at all.
Oh, one more thing. I mounted the cheap awning brackets that came with my camper. Yes, I know they’ll break but I’ll just replace them with something stronger.
D13 Mods:
1. Removed the back tire off of the rear bumper and moved it under the toolbox upfront. I had some friends fabricate a frame to hold the tire and support the toolbox.
2. On the rear bumper I installed a 350lb Curt receiver and moved the lights out towards the ends of the bumper. I...
D13 Awning mounting hardware ?
Guys I believe(?) that the hardware below is to mount the awning legs somewhere(?) to the side of the camper. Can someone tell me where this hardware is mounted ? I looked all over the side of the camper and didn’t see any mounting points for this hardware.
We’ve decided to go with a Starlink mini so we’ll just stream too. We have a fire stick plugged into the TV. Assuming you have a Starlink mini do you have a picture and link to your Starlink adapter ?
Have you had a chance to try this method yet ? With our camper manual brake lever fully pulled up the camper wheels are still rolling in the wheel chocks. I bought a drum brake adjustment tool off of Amazon but I haven’t had a chance yet to try and adjust the brakes.

Are you going to remove the existing heat/AC pump ?
Also, do u have enough solar on your roof to just run the AC ?
I think I’m going to have to take my wife somewhere “hot” to camp before I do this mod. 😉
The CO Mtns...
Over on FB on the OBI Dweller USA group there is a guy, David Faust, that is going to do a bunch of things to try and get the AC to work better. I’d follow him and see what he comes up with.
It sounds like it is going to take a number of mods, air return relocation, better insulation, etc, to...
Re: Gas struts for back lid bed pop out
I‘ve noticed that some of the MDC campers have gas struts on their back lid pop out for the bed. I’m wondering where I could get a set of those for the back lid on my D13. Holding up that lid is a pain when setting up the pop out for the bed.
Re: Moving heater vent and capping old vent
I recently modified the heater vent by the bed. This mod was posted on the OBI Dweller USA Facebook site. It‘s very nice not to have hot air cooking my legs when I sleep !
Re: Truma Heater offset parameter and sensor location
I moved the Truma temp sensor from the door area on my 22‘ D13 to the cabinet on the driver side right above the bed. With the offset set at 0 I ran a couple of tests. With the heater temp set at 65 degrees the heater was consistently...
