I haven't experienced an E-14 in my test runs yet, and of course (as you've found) the poorly-translated Russian/Chinese user manual doesn't list it and isn't clear anyway. I'm curious if it's another version of the burner overheat code, or perhaps something referencing exhaust temperature. I...
You didn't mention which shunt monitor you're using, but you said you've got Renogy batteries, so I'll assume you've got the usual Renogy rectangle monitor with 4 buttons.
Tap the OK button, then hold it until a menu appears, at this point you can scroll through the menu and change the amp...
The frames are essentially identical (comparing the same wheelbases anyway), the difference is in the rear crossmembers. On my 95 chassis-cab E350, the rearmost two crossmembers are separate from each other and built to bolt in tank straps very similar to the van body side tanks, whereas on the...
Got back from an extended weekend of camping with some family, and managed to sneak my head under the seats of a rented 2022 E450 camper my sister brought along, and it looks like the bases are identical. Plug was different for the seatbelt, but, I have a mind to think the older buckles will fit...
Our 2009 RB E250 cargo shop van has the Baja Grocery Getter kit from Weldtec, with the Fox shock package. With LT275/70R17 Maxxis Razr MT tires and a middle leaf pulled out of the rear spring packs, it rides smooth for a van. For the sake of detail, it does have a fiberglass high top, a moderate...
I'm reasonably certain the seat bases are the same as 97-14 vans, I've swapped many seats between those years without issue. The only gotcha I can think of would be the seatbelt plug to keep the SRS light off - that might have changed since 2014.
For what its' worth, the 2000 Wheeled Coach E450 Ambulance I'm converting to a camper at work uses OE Ford body mounts in OE locations along the frame, with the box hard mounted to the cab. Likewise, my 1995 Quigley E350 DRW with an enclosed service box also uses OE Ford body mounts along the...
Not exactly what you're asking, but worth mentioning: I have stacked multiple Renogy DC-DC chargers in a dual alt Transit for 100 amps of house bank charge at idle.
Currently installing a second Renogy DC-DC into a dual-alternator Econoline ambulance for 110 amps of house bank charge. I have...
I install these at Wasatch Overland on a regular basis - we typically stock a pair of Vario Fs in gray or black, but can order anything from them. 99% of the time I'm wiring the heaters, seatbelts, and installing swivels at the same time. They're very nice albeit (in my cheapo opinion) expensive.
Love the vids, and sick van so far! Can't wait to see it in person at the shop (I'm WO's electrician/accessories guy). We have the Grocery Getter kit on our shop van and it made a massive difference.
The seatbelt buckle on the 97+ Econolines is on the bottom of the seat, and stays with the seat when it rotates. You shouldn't be operating the vehicle with the seats turned around, so the seatbelt point is moot.
I install Discount Van-Truck swivels on a fairly regular basis, with OE and...
Please excuse my raising of the dead here, for the sake of information.
I have a "Junyize" brand 5kw hydronic heater sitting in a box waiting to go into my E350 - it is as of this writing marketed by multiple off-brand companies like Hcalory and come-and-go in availability. So far I've...
Had a couple friends tell me they saw an MTVR with a box in SLC, figured it had to be you.
I've made that drive between SLC and ABQ many times in sports cars and trucks at 75+, and it was still mind-numbingly long. Can't imagine that much pavement-time in a big rig like yours at 66mph.
I’m curious what (of any) paper trail follows a finished “incomplete” truck. My NPR has the original incomplete data tag and what’s left of the (hand-written!) builder tag from 1995 that is almost completely blank from years of use and abuse as a lawn care equipment hauler. It has been...
